No go forward in the NSW pack. Some good tacklers and grubs though. No creativity in the halves, therefore no tries for the outside backs.

NSW game plan - hold down like mad in the play the ball. One out running and bombs on the last.

But hey, still might work

Fair enough....we will...but thus far I was correct, Young Kade got a gig, you did not think that would happen.

I totally did not say that ol pal. Nothing surprises me with NSW these days. I wouldn't be surprised if John Morris got a gig next year.

Really? As far as i'm concerned the selectors have gone for impact and metres over defense this time, Mannah, Snowden, Gallen and Watmough. In my opinion, all primarily attacking forwards.
I'll concede on the halves, not much creativity, or organised playmaking amongst Pearce or Barrett, expect Morris and Gordon to be quiet all night.

why would i want to get out of his sig? hell, i showed him how to put it there in the first place... and if Aku is EVER a successful first grade fullback (which i strongly doubt) then i'll be the first to put my hand up.

Snowden for sure, hes got a ton of go forward...i forgot about him. Mannah i havent really seen play a lot, and gallon and wotmong..well...plodders in attack unless the play the ball is fast.

Go forward in Origin is tough as there isnt much fast play the ball. You still have to roll up the sleeves in make your runs effective, anyway you can.

But thats just my opinion. I am of course biased, i still rate Marty Bella as my No1 Origin prop of all time..:)

Barrett in todays Australian quoted talking up Pearce as the next captain.

Again it shows the flaws with the NSW team. The players are too busy talking up their mates and trying to sure up their positions in next years squad that they seem to rarely concentrate on the task at hand. Pearce isn't even the captain at his club.

If/when we get belted watch them all come out pleading to give the team another go blah blah blah

Sharks Douglas Named 19th Man For NSW
5/07/2010 9:27:10 PM
Cronulla prop Luke Douglas has been named 19th man for NSW ahead of Game Three in the State of Origin series.
Douglas and Wests Tigers centre Chris Lawrence will both join the NSW Aussie Blues on Tuesday and train with the full squad.
Douglas has been inspirational for Cronulla since making his debut in 2006 and is more than deserving of his spot, having played extremely consistently and not missing a game throughout his career to date.

Well done Luke and Chris, well deserved IMO.
