Relocate ST GEORGE it is always said by there supporters that St George is a national Brand so relocate those monkeys, they'll be right at home at Perth.

Here's a better idea, instead of relocating the merged scum 5,000kms west of Sydney why don't we relocate them 5,000kms east of Sydney.

Works for me.

The Illawarra side of the merged scum can stay put.

I liked the steelers.

Shame those parasites had to cling onto them after they folded.

Those good righteous folk of the Gong have to now put up with inbred braindead imbeciles ... cruel really.

Cheers

Freeman has been relocated from NZ to Oz.If he is an example of what relocation does to qualty, then I want the sharks to stay in the shire.
I think he has taken too many hits off the ball, whilst playing with his socks down, the untidy bitch.:sarcasm:

Frenzy.

No such thing as relocation.

Like saying "he passed away" instead of saying he was "crushed into an unrecognisable pile of mince by an out of control 18 wheeler."

Still dead

Plenty of South Melbourne and Fitroy football club fans would disagree Frenzy.

Sunny Coast sharks i like it.

You guys would be fine, cheap flights to a few home games :)

You'd still get to see them in sydney for a lot of the away games.

Sign an indigenous star or 3 for the inaugural season and they'd develop a following fairly quickly in Qld.

To be fair to Freeman he was prompted by the Muppet CEO and plucked the Sharks out of thin air, it wasn't a suggestion that they had to move.

Sunshine coast/ Qld based team would attract more players than relocating to Perth or Adelaide.

The Sunshine Coast Sharks would be the best option due to relocation.
They would get many more FTA games as channel 9 always have 1 QLD team per Friday night so odds would be more games.
The nickname the sharks suits the sunny coast lifestyle.
I could see a deal done with the jersey we could keep our original strip and play in that when we are in Sydney, have alternate strip which represents the sunny coast.
Recruiting players from country regions would also be easier, as they would not have to adjust to metro lifestyle, they could even live as far as Gympie, and those players who do enjoy city living in Brisbane, in both option travel time 1 hour.
Most players would live on sunny coast, less trouble they would get into instead of say on GC or in Cronulla.
Sponsorship dollars would be much easier to obtain, QLD government always sponsor NRL teams.
There could be deal to play 2-3 at Cronulla each year, I couldn’t see this as a problem, reviewed after 5 years, or if benchmark set on crowds at games.
We could still field team in NSW Cup, plus have one in QLD Cup, the team would survive, and we just have to accept that if we are relocated we go somewhere that we can survive.
Other options – Central Coast, we would lose identity, they won’t budge on Bears.
Adelaide – I could see this team lasting what 5 years being relocated, sponsorship would be near impossible, Port Adelaide are basically broke and are AFL club.
Perth – Distance wise sharks fans would slowly wilt away, year in year out, half a dozen years in, rebranding and loss of our logo.
We must realize that if we cannot stay in the shire, it means end of the club, or if we relocate we need to be known as the sharks and have connection with the team we have been since 1967.
If we are too do this deal though we need to make a move whilst we still have some strength, no use waiting till we are in administration, but have to make the decision before hand to negioate best option for the club and its supporters.

*IF* it were to happen, I'd be happy with 4 home games in Sydney. Those being, Manly, Dragons, Panthers and Parramatta.

I think it's inevitable, unfortunately.

if we relocate or merge im done with the nrl. i would hate the nrl for the rest of my life. my dad was a massive manly fan before the merge, even to this day he hates league for what they did to his eagles.

all this expansion crap and we havn't even sorted our own state, three people in perth want a team and suddenly theres high demand. Wake up!

I hate the media leave us alone!! if we fold, we fold. atleast i can follow another team without feeling bad about not going for the perth sharks or whatever crap they want to call us.

a positive was that gallop is sticking up for us.
