Did anyone else know about this?? :crazy:

http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/league/4072624/Horo-pledges-his-allegiance-to-Kiwis

By declaring himself Kiwi, Horo has followed the lead of his Eels skipper Nathan Cayless who, despite being born in Sydney, captained New Zealand to their historic 2008 Rugby League World Cup victory and a squad of others including Jason Cayless (Tigers); Gold Coast-born Denan Kemp (Bronco), Parkes-born Bryson Goodwin (Bulldogs), Sydney- raised Bronson Harrison (Raiders), Goondiwindi-born Luke Covell (Sharks); Sydney-born Chase Stanley (Storm); Sydney- raised Krisnan Inu (Eels); Sydney- born Frank Pritchard (Panthers); Sydney-born Jason Nightingale (Dragons) and Brisbane-born Shaun Kenny-Dowall (Roosters).

OK, the story is really about Justin Horo, but I can just picture the look on Ozbash's face right now...

P.S - I hope that's a typo in the article!!

Hmm I don't know about how true that is. He was on the verge of making the Queensland team in 2008 when he was in great form but they decided to go with Boyd instead because he had more experience at the time

I do wonder if Josh Hoffman will end up siding with the Kiwis.

Very pleased with that. He really puts in the effort, every single game, and he's a damn fine player.

I'd say its definitely a typo. He is a born and bred Australian who only fulfilled one year at best of the residency clause. I don't believe he has New Zealand ancestry.

I heard he is part Turkish. Does that help?

On a serious note, our back stock is looking its best since i can remember with 1-5 out of;

Locke, Hohaia, Vatuvei, Inu, Ropati, Winterstein, Glenn, SKD, Hoffman, Goodwin, Perrett, Matai at a stretch Mannering or Brown and thats just off the top of the head

Halves and Hooker we have Roberts, Benji, Foran, Fien, Luke, Heremaia

And as usual our forward stock is pretty strong (wont go through them)

I'd say international league will be strong in the coming years
