I would love to say that we got a bigger crowd if the game was up here, but I would be talking out of my ass. I really don't know what the game would have got if it was at DFS, I think the corresponding game in the WC in 08 got about the same crowd figure, mind you there are only about 200k people within an hours drive of Townsville.....................

Friggin disgrace.

Should have been played here on the GC, we would have packed the stadium this weekend, even with the GC600 on.

Come on now, a reach to suggest Robina is putting the FULL HOUSE sign up for this game.

As for not turning up, I put my hand up, my wife, two mates and I pulled the pin this morning. Shoot us. We weren't sitting out in the elements today and watched from the comfort of home. We're no lesser supporters because of it. I do understand the OP sentiments given English fans do cop it for the same attitude.

Your kidding right? We got a full house in Feb for an all star game, i bet your life we would have filled the stadium for a Kangaroos game.

The All-Star game is scheduled at a time when sports starved crowds are willing to attend just about anything (not a dig at all, just how it is and it's been done brilliantly by the NRL) and the crowd was fantastic for that game. I agree. I don't think it is necessarily a 100% certainty that this game was a certainty to be sold out. Crowd numbers have continued to drop at Robina on average (07 - 21489, 10 - 17877) so forgive me for not being completely sold on your claim.

Weather played it's part today as well a mediocre opponent. Such is life.

Rained all day in Sydney...I'm willing to let them off the hook a little for that fact alone.

Crowd is in no way good enough. No excuse. Its the opening match for Australia in the 4Nations and the first test here in Sydney since the Semi Final against Fiji.

Leave it to the Queenlanders to have a shot at NSW, but we beat that chip into them so its ok.

Need to find a way of building support for the Kangaroos in Sydney. I don't know what it is. We have people here who bought tickets who didn't go. Need to find a way of making the Kangaroos attractive to the fans of clubs.

I didn't go because I couldn't convince anyone to go with me. It was raining, its poor opposition, im just out of hospital, I enjoyed it from my own home.

We need solutions and ideas, something the ARL seem incapable of doing. They struggle to crack the Sydney market (which is the toughest sporting market in the souther hemisphere)

They need to take away ALL Kangaroos games from Sydney. The market is saturated during the NRL season and the people are too lazy to get support the national team after the GF.

Give it to other areas like Gold Coast, Townsville, Perth, etc where it'll at least have a good atmosphere and the Sydneysiders can still watch it on tv.
