Don't understand why Marsh is listed at 6. He should either open, or they should have gone with Ferguson or someone else.

How can anyone really get into 20/20 Cricket though except if you're a casual fan and have never really watched Test cricket?

that's exactly who 20/20 is targeting.

wow- Perera gets White first ball. Sri Lanka right on top now

Well for mine I see not a lot of difference between the two forms of limited overs cricket.

It is not a real test of cricket skill, it is about scoring quick. The only difference is how many overs you have to slog balls.

was it me who said White is not a front foot player and doesn't have the defence to play test cricket ? :D

looks like the SLs have been doing their home work on him as well

he played it from the crease rather than coming forward, very poor technique

If Cameron White has a very poor technique what do you call Sehwag's? He goes alright I think.

Cricinfo said:
Perfect delivery first up. Back of a length, pitching middle and off, cutting away, beating the poke, hitting the top of off.

I'd love to see your technique Twizzle, especially if it involves coming forward to back of a length deliveries.

most batsman would have played forward to smother any swing especially first up delivery

I pretty much come forward to a delivery like that, mainly because I'm an opening batsman and predominantly a front foot play anyway.

I'd still be there.

I disagree. Massive difference between 10 wickets over 20 overs and 10 wickets over 50. ODI's are obviously nowhere near as artful at a Test match, but they are much more artful than 20/20

Marsh needs to find the gaps, he hits the ball well all the time just doesn't get value for his shots..
