Hussey's spot in odi's is not under threat. He's saving Australia from embarrassment like he always does. If he's still in another 10 overs, his strike rate will be over 100.

nobody is doubting that noob. He will get selected in the test team on the back of his ODI form. His ODI form has been amazing.

That was pretty much my point, doing well in the one dayers means jack sh*t for test cricket IMO. Now Marsh gorrrrrrne!! And can someone tell me how in the hell is Feguson not in the ODI team????

I pretty much come forward to a delivery like that, mainly because I'm an opening batsman and predominantly a front foot play anyway.

I'd still be there.

Of course you'd come forward to a cutting, back of a length delivery. Do you even get lateral movement on synthetic? I'm sure you'd be able to adjust anyway when the goober bowling it is being clocked at 95kph downwind. The fact is, you won't play for Australia as a top or middle order batsman if you have "a very poor technique". You'll get found out well before you make your international debut.

Hussey isn't picked in the test team based on his odi form. And he's not batting to save his test career...he's trying to win an odi game.

He's clinging on to his test career because of what he's done in test cricket over 50 odd test matches.

He's also there because he's mates with Ponting.

I would take Khawaja and Hughes over Hussey and North in a hearbeat for tests. Ferguson still has a bit to prove.

He is a no-brainer selection in ODI's for this reason

He is looking good, very smart batsmen IMO. He will be a powerhouse of world cricket in a few years IMO. Need to get him in the test team at 6 IMO.
