Timana Tahu's future at Parramatta is still uncertain as family moves to Newie

Timana Tahu's future at Parramatta is virtually untenable with revelations the star centre's wife has moved to Newcastle to be closer to her family.

The decision by Tahu's wife, Kasey, to leave Sydney adds more doubt over the former Test centre's already clouded future at the Eels.
Tahu has apparently spoken of plans to remain in Sydney and commute back and forth to Newcastle.
But Eels team-mates and officials believe it's virtually impossible for Tahu - a devoted family man - to focus on his football without his wife and two kids nearby.
Tahu's decision to quit rugby union coincided with his struggles to spend lengthy periods away from his family.
Newcastle chief executive Steve Burraston says he hasn't spoken to Tahu, but speculation is widespread in rugby league circles that he is manouevring for a return to the Knights.
Tahu, was born and raised in Newcastle and spent six seasons at the Knights before joining Parramatta in 2005.

It was also reported he was spotted late last week in the Newcastle area with two Knights players.
Burraston, a former Newcastle lower-grade coach, mentored Tahu through his junior years, but he has said that Tahu wasn't in the club's sights for next season.
"We haven't spoken to him at all, nor are we in the market for a centre at the moment," Burraston said.
"I've had a lot to do with Timana, and I respect the bloke and I respect his ability.
"I thought he played some good footy when he came back from rugby union.
"He's always welcome at our place, but it's got to be under the right circumstances.
"Right at the moment, there's not a position for him or enough room for us to fit him under the salary cap."
The Knights last made a play for Tahu's services in 2009 before he signed to return to the Eels from rugby union.
Parramatta coach Stephen Kearney is yet to meet with Tahu after he was granted leave from training to confront some personal issues.
Kearney is refusing to get caught up in the drama, with his focus on rebuilding the Eels after they missed the finals last year.
Tahu's wife Kasey said last weekend that she hoped Parramatta would not push her husband back to training until after Christmas.
Eels management are tempted to wait until then before making a decision on Tahu's future.

This guy actually makes Mundine seem as likeable as Andrew Ettingshausen.

What a backstabbing, whinging, hypocritical treachorous dog.

Seriously Tahu, f**k off. We don't want you back here.

And didn't he call the Knights rednecks? I'm sure moral will be high in that union...

As a Parra fan i'm sick of this Tahu crap. Didn't live up to expectations this year & wouldn't care if he went back to Newie.

I would find it very difficult to cheer him on in a Knights jersey... I really don't think I could... I hope those "white merkins" from the Knights make it clear that he would never be welcome back.... surely mundane could talk him in to taking up boxing.....

If Kearney has give him the boot it is the smartest thing he may do in his debut year.

The best thing Stephen Kearney could possibly do would be to kick Timana Boohoo to the f**king curb and tell him to f**k right off and not come back. Parra are gonna struggle enough next season without having to put up with that whinging bitch, the least they could do is start the season on a positive by losing that drama queen and unifying the squad.

Don't want him at the Knights again. The bloke was a gun player back in the day, but he lost all respect the day he walked out on the NSW Origin camp as part of some "stand". Could have shwon some responsibility and waited until the series was over, instead of throwing the team into greater disarray than it already was!

Would welcome him back, as long as he was prepared to play prop.... for a pie and a coke, and promise not to speak.

Seriously though, he is a client of a firm I previously worked for - and in that context you couldn't meet a more humble, respectful and family orientated guy. Nor one more under the thumb - his wife wears the pants and the jocks, and weilds the pimp hand.

I was astounded he left Newcastle in the first place TBH - while the magnitude of Parra's offer meant he couldn't really afford to pass it up financially, I thought the relationship with his wife's family would have kept them here.

Not surprised that they are coming back - he has had his payday, and seems to have had a bit of a mental breakdown earning it. Wouldn't be surprised to see him sign a very modest one year deal with us for 2011.
