My point still stands. The Royal Family still influences this country more than the NRL, the Royal Wedding is still a culturally significant event given our history and the NRL was never going to take priority over the Royal Wedding. Until the NRL can jam a picture of Gallop on the back of our currency, then it has relatively no influence over an event such as the Royal Wedding and an institution such as the Royal Family.

Who ever said I was a monarchist?
Actually cook, if the Republican movement needs a spokesman, they should call you. Get you up on a soapbox, and with religious zeal you can tell uncouth Australians how much of an influence the Queen has on our dreary lives. You can throw in with a lecture on wholesomeness and suggestions that we all meet at the theatre afterwards for a spot of culture.

Oh, and be sure to remind the colonials who won the Ashes. It's sure to get a jolly good response.

Just send a bunch of bulldogs fans to the channel 9 head office and let them run riot :).

Bulldogs fans thrive on trouble like this :)

Metaphorically, yes. Although I'm more handsome than that guy. I do as I'm told and watching "like, the most important thing ever!" is one of the things I've been told I'm doing. Otherwise I don't get fed or sexd. BunniesMan knows what side his bread is buttered on.

firstly, if your woman uses the word "like" in that context, i'd be very worried..

Religious zeal? More a point of fact.

Dreary lives? Maybe you should get out more. You have a choice to have a dreary, shallow, pointless life or a wholesome, happy life. Nothing wrong with the latter. Definitely somethign wrong with the former.

Nothing wrong with culture...

How is it culture in any way, shape or form?

If my wife tries to make me watch the bloody royal wedding, she'll get a real lesson on just who's boss. Right after I finish watching the footy on the small telly in the bedroom.
