OK, it's from the Weedler. So maybe 1% truth.

THE Titans are poised to offer Jamal Idris his own children's television show as part of a million-dollar-plus deal to draw him to the Gold Coast. And should he join the club, its star player, Preston Campbell, has predicted it would help to make him an Australian captain one day. Idris has made no secret of his desire to act and has been associated with the Nine Network over the past 12 months through The Footy Show. The Titans are taking it a step further. ''As part of our desire to get Jamal here we are proposing him as a host for his own television show which we are going to put together,'' Titans boss Michael Searle said. ''Our fan base is dominated by the four-to-18 age bracket and Jamal has enormous appeal in that area. We plan to produce a pilot show for Jamal and aim to get a network involved.

Hmmm rugby league players and television shows.

Who else could star in their own show?

Jarryd Hayne - Bondi Rescue/ Baywatch
Dave Taylor, George Rose - The Biggest Loser/ Hungry Beast
Joel Monaghan - Send in the Dogs/ Inspector Rex/ Lassie Returns
Chris Sandow - Brewster/ Diffrent Strokes or the half in 2 and a half men.
Todd Carney - Great Pubs of Australia/ Cops
Sharks/ Bulldogs - Two (change number) guys and a girl
Wayne Bennett/ GI - Deal or No Deal
Jamahl Idris - The Klingon Worf from Star Trek: Next Gen

Preston saying that idris is a future test captain makes him a candidate for a hosting role on today tonight.

What I want to know is why does Preston think going to the Titans would make him MORE likely to be test captain. Last time I checked we can still have Aussie captains from NSW clubs...

I think the big and burning issue with this is...................... will Bunniesman watch Idris's show if it's on at the same time as Sesame Street????

And will his mum/missus allow him to watch it???

I think the show will be a RL show for kids, they are building a sound stage/media room in the Center of Excellence at the moment, it looks awesome

I remember Anthony Mundine once expressing a desire to become an actor... just because you want to be doesn't mean you 're going to be good at it.

Doesnt Anthony Mundine still want to become a respected boxer too?

Good luck to Idris, as long as he stays in the game i dont care where he plays. The game needs more characters.

Considering this is run through and organised through the Titans, would this not be counted against the cap?

Your the ultimate douche. Seriously how old are you? Stop being a follower and bringing bunniesman into every topic for laughs.. It's not funny and your coming across as a complete spastic.

I think by offering idris some type of leadership role with the club it could give hmm some experience, but you would think with the likes of bird and prince at the club, he would not even captain his "club".

Danny Wicks, Chris Houston and Andrew Johns - Trailer Park Boys. Johns could easily pass as Ricky http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jfq3c4Cf1Fs

News Ltd part owns Fox Sports, Couriermail and The Daily Telegraph yet Broncos and Storm players get gigs so you wouldn't think so.
