Thanks slm9.

The section at the bottom of page is interesting....no more 1 - 4,999 which is great.

And the average going beyond 10k (could be 11 by the time we stop counting this seasons) is another great sign. And perhaps a 6th team (Roosters) joining those of us in 5 figures.

just on my team, the 2009-2010 figures are somewhat misleading.

In 2009 the only 'membership' that was available for NQ was season tickets. In 2010, that was the first year non-ticketed membership was available, I believe non ticketed membership during 2010 year was around 2k members, so we drop a few thousand season ticket holders during that 2009-2010 period........... as we did this year as well. $ is $, no denying that, but our fall from grace popularity wise has been steady with inept year after inept year, I don't blame the fans that are over 2-3 hours away from tvl dropping their season tickets during this period, its a lot to expect from people to come all that way, watch a bunch of clowns running around the field and also have to stay the weekend.

Interesting, so do you believe it will take a while to get those members back?

I remember back from 2004-2008 the cowboys were averaging 20K, hopefully with good form we can see this again in the future.

if they perform at the same level and intensity like they did against the Eels and the week before against the Storm, then yes mate, I think people will be back in droves. The region has copped a battering with Yasi so a lot of the people up further north probably have a lot more to worry about than the footy this year, but as their lives stabilize and they get back on track, if the cows perform admirably then footy may just be back on the agenda for those people and the rest of the region who have been a bit disillusioned with the club. We have bandwagoners, every club does, but from what I have seen most people just want to see them put in and have a dig. The club can't use Yasi as an excuse this year for our drop in membership numbers, the numbers were down before the cyclone hit, they have nothing to blame but themselves.

Don't know.

I'm hanging for an update myself.

Was hoping to see the Roosters break 10,000....sure it's only half of you guys, but still it's a pretty good result for us.

Ron Gauce (CEO) said at the after match function for the Storm we have just under 10,000 ticketed members. This week Storm are introducing a 4 game membership package - $80 for the remainer of the year which I think is a great idea to bump the membership nos over the 10,000.

Mate it doesn't matter how you stack up against us or any other club. What matters is that your club and every other club is growing. There will always be some clubs with a bigger fan base than others. Each club needs to keep going how we have this year to stop the threat of afl in our territory.

Agree. The only measure clubs should be doing is against themselves. They must always grow and never go backwards.

The only time clubs need to compare against other clubs is membership offers to gauge ideas.

The Tigers are up to 8850, so NRL figures are quite outdated. Still an outside chance at cracking the 10 000 mark. Still the growth is nice.

Really is amazing how the membership initiative is taking off.
