Hmmm don't think so, thinking back to when Souths got Burgess their was a transfer fee, but that came via the Sugar Daddies not the cap IIRC.

Shacks can play up the middle third of the field in the opening exchanges, allowing Hindy to play on the fringes. I really like the look of this pack, don't see the need for a big name forward! Might need some no name guys for depth!

We need to invest in a long term stable spine for this football team. We got Hayne and Sandow, we need to re-sign A Mitchell and M Barba asap, these two have great attacking skill, we just need to wait until their bodies develop to first grade standards. Now we need a good 5/8, I'd be going after Widdop! Our outside backs are going to look so much better with Sandow and Widdop providing them with good ball.

The Queensland forward has already held talks with the Gold Coast Titans over his future and it is understood he is also in the sights of Newcastle Knights and Parramatta.

Guys reading between the lines, the fact we were recently chasing Tom Symonds from the Roosters for probably around the $200-250k mark tells you how much we have put aside for a 2nd row forward signing.

The priority for us is DEFINITELY in the backs & halves and this is where we will spend the big $$ imo.
