The run home

St. George couldn't beat us and Manly got lucky in the last few minutes after we shit ourselves.

Who the hell is left to stand up to us, apart from Melbourne?

I can't believe that you lot have watched our last two games and are still doubting that we will make the 8. Fools.

The problem is that they are all teams on top of the comp which you "get up for" when you play them.

We tend to struggle against the mid table teams and teams we should be able to beat.

Thats my biggest worry about the team to the run home.

Im more worried about this weekend against the raiders then when we play the storm.

Lets just put in a decent effort each week, and who cares where we finish. Putting some pride and professionalism back in the joint for next year is what's most important IMO.

I was thinking this way until the last 3 weeks but we've been going a lot better than I expected we would - a lot better.

I think it's fair to be thinking finals now. We can afford to drop 3 more games, but that's up to the players, not us.

Yeah I agree I have to say I have been really surprised by how well we've played the last 2 games in particular & for 80 mins.

This week against Canberra will really tell us alot about where we are and where we might finish.

We've always struggled down there in the cold and we've always struggled to lift against sides we 'should' beat as opposed to when we are massive underdogs like the last 2 weeks.

I'm getting a little sniff of 2009, but just a sniff at this stage. This next game will confirm a few things for me.

I think you should change that to 80 minutes for one game and 77 minutes for the other.

Yeah, I reckon that`s the answer. I don`t think Parramatta`s got a hope in hell of making even eighth spot - and I couldn`t care less. If they keep putting in for most of their remaining games like they have been lately, I`ll be a happy supporter.

Is this turn around in form due to the dropping of Mortz?

One thing I watch is when a team makes their set and kicks then the other team does the same and eventually we tend to lose. i.e. the opposition gets to our attacking zone before we do.

I put it to our kicking because our rucking out is quite good. Robson's long kicking is still not good. Hayne can be hot but can be cold too e.g. kicking out on the full. Casey hasn't improved this area as well.

Now squirt is gone, we are not putting ourselves under as much pressure when we do get in the opposition red zone with his bad plays.

So is it coincidental?

Even with two out on the full, haynes long kicking on Monday was phenomenal.

It kept us right in that game for as long as we were.

My impression of Hayne's long kicking was that he was trying to get the Manly back three to hang right back to give him more room to attempt the 40/20.

I can't believe you've been watching Parramatta for the last 3 years yet still don't rate Jarryd Hayne. Fool.

I rate HaHa. I just don't rate the wankfest.

I can't believe you've been reading my posts for the last 3 years and haven't realised that. Fool.
