From the early morning escapades I've read about, the greatest need for both the council and the Sea Eagles is for more public loos to be built.

But seriously, that plan is crap.

“If this vision is accepted by the community it will give us the opportunity to provide a beautiful new park and facilities for the community as well as secure Brookvale as the home of rugby league and professional sport on the northern beaches”, said Mayor Regan.

Adrian McGregor, project director and principal of McGregor Coxall added; “It is exciting to think how we could lead the world in demonstrating how a professional sporting venue can also become a place for the community to work and play.”

Absolutely ridiculous.
No professional sporting team should be playing at a stadium which is 80% hilled.

These two are obviously out of touch with the community, rugby league, professional sport and general, and reality.

That stadium design is bloody terrible. Making MORE hills and LESS capacity is the exact f**ken opposite of where our stadiums should be headed. FMD. Brookvale isn't NRL standard now, and this "new plan" is even worse than what they have now.

If I ran the NRL I'd tell Manly they have 3 years to make a 25k capacity stadium or I'd force them to play at SFS after those 3 years until they got a 21st century stadium.

:lol::lol: they already have enough moron running it

If I ran the NRL I'd tell Souths to f**k off as soon as Russell gets bored with his hobby.

This would be a better solution. The hill stays but the capacity increases, this is what they should be doing and not that tofu eating version that is doing the rounds today.

what rubbish. I guess they call it a success because it is "green".
Move Manly.

Though Barry O did say on the League Longue that the Manly local member is now the NSW state treasurer....
BTW Manly are trying to get an insight into how SGI worked it, their new CEO came across from the Saints. He will be earning his salary by the look of this.

 the only difference between the two is the size of the residential towers. Of course the council will push for the bigger towers plan as it means more revenue.

who the hell elected these mental midgets?

the duche in the video refers to the Sea Eagles as "a Rugby club". Must be a Victorian architect desigining it.

So the only differences between option A and option B is the size and use of the building at the Southern End...

If this eventuates, Manly need to play at the SFS... Manly Oval is hardly a positive replacement.

With Manly facing possible relocation due to the stadium restructure, and the Central Coast Bears bid looking more uncertain as other bids start to build momentum, perhaps the two could form some sort of strategic alliance. A joint venture, if you will.

The council probably want to get rid of the Sea Eagles and replace them with a Shute Shield team. Explains the hundreds of people in the picture.
