i defended Carney up until now. But frankly I’m fed up with his shit.

without a doubt this guy must be one of the dumbest f**ks ever to lace on a pair.

to not even be able to stay off the booze for 2 weeks is embarrassing. and all those blaming alcohol problems i don’t think know what a real alcohol problem is. this is more of an IQ deficiency which unfortunately something that can’t be helped.

so what do roosters fans think?

do we sack him and run the risk of him turning it around with another club if he isn’t deregistered by the NRL, or do we give him one 'last' chance?

2011 started with headlines and the rumour was the players group wanted the trouble makers out but was overdidden by Politis. In effect, any chance of discipline went out the window. We had a divided camp and we got the result this year we deserved. If we want 2012 to be an improvement, they hard decisions need to start now.

Agreed. Carney needs to go. We need to start again - even if it means we have a couple of lean years.

Sack Smith, the players hate his guts.

The main trouble maker was shopped around in January and won't be here next year

Keep him and dock his pay $20,000.00 every time he does sometime stupid.
The money collected should go to a good charity or to AA. At least if he does not go to AA his pay will go to AA to help others.
By the end of 2012 Carney would have rasied $100,000.00 all by himself.....he might get a nobel peace prize for his help.

No point sacking him, another team with "all dickheads welcome" policy like the Roosters will just sign him up. Then he becomes other teams problem.
His your problem....fix him up !!

Tough. How many coaches can we go through before making the players be responisible? The players need to stop being princesses and if the going gets tough i.e training, they need to suk it up, not throw in the towel and blame the coach. they get paid more than enough for thier efforts.

It was supposed to be the guy from the Brisbane Lions they didn't like but you're right the same group of players didn't like Anderson or Fittler so the club should just line up all 25 players and ask who doesn't like Smith and tell them they won't be playing until they can find another club.

If there was any doubt left in the decision makers minds i think the boys just officially ended Carney's tenure at the club today.

That was their way of saying they don't need him and it's time to move on.

Did you watch the game this afternoon?

Get your head out of your arse, we should have won by 50 considering how we played and how they played, but we have SFA in terms of creativity in attack, 90 per cent of the time Pearce just kicks a bomb and it was way too f**king easy for Jason Nightingale to diffuse for much of the match.

We need Carney's creativity in attack, he acts that extra spark when it comes to adding some attacking flair.

Take your own advice. Missing myles, fpn, skd, aubs, kennedy a team that has had nothing but drama this week and serverly lacking confidence, we played great!!!

Pearce and anasta well done. I agree we still need carneys creativity but we don't need his trouble!

Listening to ABC they said the same thing but pre-game.

If they really want to clean the club up then FPN has to be suspended for a long time aswell.

Never said we didn't play great, I said our halves lacked creativity and we missed Carney, TS suggested we didn't, we did.

I thought Friend went alright, actually looked semi-decent in attack tonight.

But I hate having Anasta at 6, it kills me inside...

Atleast he wasn't in the backrow!

Also, SKD not missed at all. I think we failed to complete 8 or 9 of our sets, SKD is usually good for about 3 more. This team for 3 years has battled poor respect for the football but today they did well.

Yeah Friend's service from dummy half was pretty solid.

Anasta stood up as a leader but he is no five eighth.

Ryles had one of his better games for sure, but Myles despite his poor attitude, does twice as much as Ryles did today on a weekly basis.

TBH I think the most indispensable part of our back line is Sam Perrett, he makes the odd mistake but he puts everything on the line.

Leilua surprised me today, no mistakes and he saved us a few times.
