Same. I have heard that a well credential coach is being offered big money to move to the Bulldogs, though he would need to break the last year of his contract, and I can't see his club not putting up a fight to keep him.

I know he is full of it 99% of the time, but on twitter he claims there is a current NRL club coach "contracted to his club for next season" who has secretly applied for the dogs coaching position.

If there is any substance to it, it would have to be Rick Stone yeah?

I really don't see how I guy can go from head coach to assistant coach.

Good luck to him if it is, I think (until a few weeks ago) he had Newcastle over achieving this year, which is a fair effort considering the Tinkler and Bennett distractions

Which I believe is why Greenburg isn't discussing any of the lead up talks/ Timeframe of the talks between Hasler and Dogs.

Des looking after himself. When the current Manly board was toying around with his contract he had enough of their bullshit and applied for the job to try to show them who's boss.

Well it worked, except for all the hard work he's put into Manly as a player and a coach, he is now the most hated person on the northern beaches...and the dumb f**k will never live it down for the rest of his life, like $BW.

It's a stupid choice really for both parties, dessie has pissed off everyone who loved him for a club he hates, and canterbury signed a coach that hasn't an ounce of passion for the blue and whites.

Instead of respecting that he is leaving because he was put in a uncomfortable situation, they bag out the coach that has got them 2 premierships in 5 years; one premiership they thrashed a team over the cap 40-0. They also lost to that team in a grand final, so thats 3 grand finals in 5 years, making the most dominant team over the last 5 years.

Instead of being bitter merkins the least you can do is fair well him with some respect and gratitude; not little bitching.

Manly screwed him around. If they had of looked after him he would have stayed. Blame others not Des. You have to ask why Des left. You think Manly's sh*t dont stink? Agree. Some fans are just bloody idiots, not just Manly ones either. He took us back to the top after the NE debacle, he is Manly through and through but felt he was left with no choice. Hopefully heads roll and Des leaving is not in vein. Whilst I am disappointed in how its all happened I dont hate Des.
