Congrats to the Eagles. They were clearly the better team. Right from kickoff I had the feeling it was going to be there day.

While Vick had an oustanding game and the Cowboys couldn't stop McCoy. For me the big factor in the Eagles win was their OL. Its been a while since I have seen an OL so dominate.

Agreed, Jason Peters... wow have i missed that guy for the past 2-3 games, he was an absolute beast

gotta say, big ups to DeMarcus Ware, i know he is the best defensively player in the game, but given how well our line was playing, he was ridiculous, 4 sacks and 12 on the season... the guy is insanely good.

Also Jason Kelece did an outstanding job for a rookie up against a Ratliff who is one of the best and explosive nose tackles in the game. Kelece won the battle and thats a great sign for the young bloke

ill give the bills lots of credit, they are one of only 2 teams this year to beat us, as opposed to us beating us. They are a much better side than i thought they'd be. A joy to watch too... Freddy Jackson is awesome

We should be 7-0 then considering we should have beaten the Cowboys in week 2

What an utterly pathetic and inane thing to say.

See thats where i think your wrong, a record is not the be all and end all of what a team is.
We see it every year,

the bills last year were a classic case, 4-12 team, but they were much better than their record indicates. They lost 3 games against play off contenders in OT. They were within 1 score of the pats, bears and dolphins, they could have very easily been a .500 team... Browns too, you look at their record and say they stink, fact is they were extremely hard team and a team had show up and play well to beat them.

it is far too simplistic to make assessments of a team based on record alone... there is a reason at 6-1 alex smith still sucks balls, its because he's terrible, 6-1 or not.

The Rams are a classic case this year, much better side than the 1-6 record they show... you've got to look into why they are where they are, and then you start to consider their hideous scheduale, the fact they have something like 7 DB's on IR, and important parts of their receiving group has been wiped out.

Colts, 0-7, they arent that bad (dont get me wrong, they are bad but not 0-7 bad) and you can bet your arse they'd be .500 at least if a guy named Manning was playing QB instead of the Painter.

There more to football than your win-lose ratio.
And thats consistent amongst all sports... sport is more complicated than a simple W/L.
And i think you'd have agreed with me 12 months ago when the niners were doing dumb shit that was costing them football games off their own back, but good year and dominating the worse division in football changes views i guess ;)

agreed dude;-) however i would not swap our lefties for Peters ever, they've only given up like 1 sack this year (lefties) and have totally man handled some great DE's

look i love fitzy, he's easy to root for, has a great beard, leader, he's a buffalo type player, however i would really like us to draft a top line QB for once and let them battle it out, who knows what luck could do under our sytem, however i hope fitzy continues to do well, and will only get better

also Steve johnson should have taken an easy catch in the end zone tyo beat the steelers, we def werent a 4-12 side, most smart observers could see this, its only the espn panel who just look at the standings and assume

Yea no doubt the Buffalo line is playing lights out right now and doing a great job, and Peters burned the bills pretty bad with some inconsistant play but he's been lights out for us the past 2 years, and i think Howard Mudd has done wonders with him this year, he was as dominate as they come today for a lineman, it was a straight out mugging at times.

I do love watching the bills, a great under dog side to root for.

49ers with a pretty ugly win against Cleveland today, but given the upsets all over the place I'll take it. Game balls to Frank Gore and that 49ers defense which is looking downright nasty.

So seriously how did the Rams win today?

we are raping the NFC West, tbh the only threat to a superbowl appearance is Green Bay.

Milestone for Gore if he gets another 256 yards he will be the niners all time leading Rusher

Yeah agreed, although I do think some of those divisional games could be trap games, can't see us sweeping the division, may drop one in St Louis or Seattle.

They need to give Hunter more carries, 30+ carries for Gore is way too many

All that is well and good, but reality is that every team has 'what ifs' evey year that could change their record, injuries, strength of schedule, OT lossess, etc, happen to plenty of teams.

Point is if your team is better than it's record it will overcome these factors, if not the team is as the record states.

I don't think the Rams have been better than their record this year, they've had injuries which have impacted their team (as all teams get) but they have been woeful in many games, hence their record.

It's all well and good to say the Eagles 'beat themselves', but they played teams that got in positions to win the game and the Eagles weren't good enough to overcome that, when you invest all that $ on a QB like Michael Vick you're taking a risk and at the moment that hasn't payed off for them.

Yeah Alex Smith ain't playing awesome (although to say he sucks shows you haven't been watching their games, in terms of efficiency he's one of the best in the league ATM), but that 49ers team has been playing extremely well and they are one of the best teams in the NFC at the moment.

Tbh it's pretty early to say you and the packers will be shoe ins for the NFC championship game. You still have half a season left and regardless of previous results anything can happen on game day - especially in the playoffs.

But how good has harbaugh been this year? I hate the whiners but you have to admire that harbuagh has turned this team around without any major changes in talent from last year.

Niners will romp into the playoffs with the second seed and a first round bye. Candlestick isn't as imposing as Lambeau though and as one NFL analyst stated, the NFC is medicore bar the Packers and 49ers.

I was hoping the Saints could step it up but the look to be a level below GB and San Fran. The rest are cannon fodder IMO.

The Steelers are the team starting to make their play now and the AFC looks a much tougher proposition with a lot of teams capable of making the SB.

f**k me ladies. You blokes are acting like they are already in the superbowl. We are only halfway through the season. I agree that they will probably gain home field advantage but to say they are slam dunks to go to the super bowl or even the nfc championship game is so premature. How many teams such as the patriots last year or colts in years gone by have been given this sort of accolade and are one and done in the playoffs.

There's a reason they play the games.
