At least Dravid has a sense of humour

When he reached the wicket Dravid quipped to the groundstaff "so you didn't get the email?''

When they replied "what email?'' he said "the one which said take the grass off the wicket.''

Waste of time Lyon even getting on the plane.

This reminds me of the Silly Wankas preparing their pitch with a wire brush to suit Murali.

You should have been clearer than Twizzle.

Yeah that sounds right Ian, I counted wrong.

I'm particularly excited for this match cause the coverege goes to around 7.30 - 8 at night.

Only miss out on the first few hours of play.

Zaheer, Ishant and Yadav could do plenty of damage on that if they get their shit together.

Looks like a great one to bowl first on before having it flatten out. Certainly shouldn't be too many cracks with that much grass holding it together.

It won't flatten out till day 3 I reckon. It will be all over by then.

I don't think it will be that green tomorrow.

Play starts at 10:30 WST :)

Used to love the Perth Test when I lived in Sydney because it ran "late"

I think your two sentences are at odds with each other.

I agree it won't be as green tomorrow, but sounds like it will still have good coverage. A good hot day should see it pretty good for batting on Day 2 and will stay good. In other words a repeat of Sydney, just with more bounce and carry. I can see us losing badly if we bat first with the Indians giving us a big taste of our own medicine. Bowl first though and we'll be very happy I think.

Sorry I find it hard to show sarcasm without my facial expressions.

I think it will be a very good wickets. If bowlers bowl well they will get wickets but if Batsmen are prepared to do the hard yards you will make runs.
That said I'd be bowling first for sure.

grammar not your strong point Gary ?

I knew what I meant

as far as the pitch goes, looking at the green top, it may not flatten out till day 4 if at all, and it maybe all over by then
