I didn't realise Mel was from a foreign country.

All I could get out of her verbally was a lot of long mmmmmmmmmmm's, a few hhmmmmms, but she was able to say Yes a lot. It didn't take her long but .....

She just kept yelling Yessss, Yessss, Yessssssssss.

I could not commute with her at all, but being the gentleman that I am, and possessing the manners that I have, I knew it was rude to talk with my mouth full.

I did have a little chuckle with "our" Mel and her broken eng-a-leesh.

She had me there for awhile when she kept saying Quigs likes Kissing Simmons. Being a silly bugger I thought she was talking about our Limmo Paris.

Fair dinkum I didnt have a clue what she was on about until she pointed to her Gene Simmons poster on the wall.

Then she just poked her cute little tongue out and giggled.

Unfortunately I had to leave her not long after that....

She said she was expecting a visit from some Aussie guy.

HE WAS COMING AFTER I LEFT.... THAT WAS AFTER I LEFT.

Newman - is the club open to ideas?

Fair question really, i know people on forums have ideas and sprout ideas for this that and the other.

But i wonder whether they are genuinely open to new ideas

Absolutely. email [email protected] If you write in a respectful, measured manner someone will get in touch with you. The club loves genuine support.

Bob Log stayed at my house on his first tour out here. I think it was in '99.

Hes a top bloke.

Complete your sets, have a reasonable kicking game, make most of your tackles and you will win more games than you lose.
We must have the worst completion rate over the last at least 5 years than anyone else.
This club over the last ten years has had no recruitment focus on building a team that can score the most points. It's all been about building a team that can concede the least points as any cursory scan of recruitment will tell you.....paying for forwards and having nothing left to lure players that can score tries. I doubt there's anyone on here who'd rather be winning by 10 points to 6 in an arm wrestle rather than 30 points to 24. It's also easier to take a loss when you've scored 4 or 5 tries rather than scoring......one or two....maybe. At least you've watched some effervescent footy and been entertained....

All the premiers over the last 10 years (especially Tigers in 05...who's defense at times was a joke) won simply by scoring more points ( and yes i realize some of those other premiership teams had great defense too)..... but ultimately, being able to come from behind because of a bit of poor defense and outscoring your opponent is all that matters at the final whistle. We haven't had a side like that in a looooong time....ET, Howland, Rat etc....
I also think it's probably easier to improve a players defensive issues but who has great attacking skills rather than the other way around. ET's defense was pretty marginal in the early days ...he retired one of the best.

Anyway, my 10 cents worth..I wonder if we'll put in a grubber and either score or get a repeat set this week..?..one can only continue to hope...
