Yeh I've heard they were definately chasing him.

He debuted in 2004, so if he is 27 that means he was 19 when he started in the NRL and was a regular at Melbourne and international level by age 20. That would be pretty unusual. I read somewhere he debuted at 24 and that would make him 32, but maybe I read that here.
