Don't patronise me. You were trying to shoot down my ambition for God knows what reason.

Are you personal trainer? Is this why you're hell bent on insisting that Exercise Physiologists are nothing more than glorified personal trainers?

I told you what I have been told by Exercise Physiologists working in the field and what we have been told by our professors about the new career paths for exercise physiologists. I do not need to provide a seek advertisement.

But type in 'Exercise Physiologist' into seek and you will find that a lot of the jobs ask for "a qualified Exercise Physiologist or physiotherapist'

We get to prescribe exercise rather than massage old people.

Basically we teach clinical populations to fish, rather than just give them a fish.
Do you realise what you're looking like, you still haven't provided anything even though I've asked clearly and concisely a few times.
But continue to try and take jabs at me and post irrelevent stuff in the meantime:?

I really don't want to deride this thread anymore, you can't find me a link clearly, lol and no, I'm not a personal trainer:lol:

I have officially lost any shred of respect I have for you. You have not clearly asked for what you want, perhaps that's why I haven't provided you with what you asked for.

Really I don't give a f**k if you think my goals are feasible or not. I know there's plethora of opportunities for Exercise Physiologists and as the key is to get into rehabilitation I know with the right dedication I will get there, I am doing what I love and I don't have to prove anything to you. I am done responding to you.

insurance companies are starting to hire exercise physiologists because it's cheaper for them to have some exercise physiologists on the payroll to send their clients to than a physiotherapist.

It's pretty obvious that shorty was asking you to provide a link that backs up this claim.

It's also pretty obvious that you can't

which has lead you once again to being abusive and irrational

......just sayin'

In all honesty, Cliff stated clearly that it was a conversation she had.

Please advise us all how one provides a weblink to a verbal conversation that didn't occur on the internet?

Stop trying to pick a fight for the sake of it you dickhead. If you were going to pick a fight on semantics, at least pick a segment that can be argued against you moron.

Halfway through my first week of workout.

20 min for a 2.4 km run. Need to shave off 10 min on the run. Still, early days.

My Cardio has improved though and am not as tired as I used to with exercise.

Kickboxing lessons resume this Friday.

Plan on going to Mt Druitt Pools on Saturday to see if they are open on autumn/winter.

Edit: Mt Druitt Pools close on March 2012 for the Autumn/Winter.

f**k, talk about bad timing to join Navy. Cold outdoor pools. Should have applied to join in Summer. Onward to Nepean Aquatic Centre.

Good work mate! Keep it up!

Some advice: keep shit like that to yourself from now on, no-one wants to hear it in the Forces.

Yeah mate, Sea water is always cold and you can get called up anytime in the military. Momentarily forgot that.

That is a shame. You could have done your swimming and self defense in the one session. :p

You should shave atleast 5 minutes off that in the next 2 weeks easily. You will be amazed how quickly you can get your 2.4 time down if you are doing the hard yards.

17:30 on the 2.4 km run.

Granted, it was on a treadmill and I hanged on the rails for a bit.

Sprinted the first and last 300 metres.

I feel better, my stomach getting flatter and my calves look like the Rock's.

Well that is 2min 30 sec off in a week so I am on track with the prediction.

Keep at it, keep running, maintain variety in your training with long slow distances 3km +, interval training 6X400m sprints at a 1:1.5 or 1:2 work:rest ratio, 2.4km time trials and also start working on your situps, pushups and throw in some chin ups. If you haven't started going to the gym you might want to consider it and do a beginner weights routine concentrating on mostly compound exercises (squats, deadlifts, bench press etc) Weight training is almost just as important when burning fat as cardio is. The more weight you start to drop the easier it will be to cart your ass around the running track.

1.9 KM in 13 minutes. 2.4 in 16:53.

I'm getting closer.

Confession time though. Been neglecting my swimming in favor of running and sit ups and push ups.

Trying to find balance between the two.
