Lui has what all the good halves have, the vision to know where a gap is and to either put a player through it or take advantage of it himself. That is what the team misses most from his absence and why our attack does not look threatening at times.

Our attack is shit because we have a half at fullback, 2 old slow wingers (Utai and Tuqiri) who think they are supposed to defend centres, centres playing five-eighth, a third centre who the coach is trying to squeeze into the side who is clearly shit and offers nothing, a world class five-eighth playing at halfback, a delicate flower in the second row, 2 props busting their arses for over an hour each per game because of the pathetic effort by 66% of the back row, an ineffective lock, absolutely no depth and a coach with no care for the current juniors at the club.

I also recognise the team was playing one of the best sides in the NRL and despite all of the above, was still in the match with 10 minutes to go"

As a supporter you would also know the loss of Tuiaki and Dwyer also had significant impacts on the team.

Maybe our coach and club aren't that bad after all!

We could have made Ryan fullback, put Moltzen in at halfback, it would have been immensely less disruptive, immensely better for team cohesion and would have meant more players were prevented from being shifted around every game and every time a benchie came on during the game.

We've had all offseason to deal with the loss of Dwyer and 2 years to deal with Tuiaki. You cannot use those as examples in anyway, purely because it's stupid to do so.

Humble has shown that he's as good as Lui, thus the loss of Lui isn't an issue either.

The coach blooding a five-eighth, buying an old five-eighth while we already had the worlds best five-eighth is the biggest piece of stupidity I've ever seen.

Closely followed by the coach that got rid of the best defensive prop in the comp and a strong running ball playing young prop so as to waste half a million a year on a lazy merkin who to this point in time has proven to be as useful as a broken paperclip.

Mate, I acknowledge all those points you raise and admit they have had impact but the essential counter point I think is that Sheens has been at the club too long. He is comportable, the club is comfortable and worst of all the players are comfortable. They should be eager and ready to fight for each point and their spot in the team. Can you really say with Sheens protective policies of his favoured few that eagerness is there?

Our club is good, has a great sense of community spirit and pride, and a lot of that spirit comes from Sheens 'watch' at the helm. But, it is time to move on. WT are too predictable and getting tame.

I believe I am a bit more understanding of the difficulties encountered.

I do not believe players of the calibre of Tuiaki and Dwyer can be replaced in two years. When Dwyer started to make a name for himself, he was lauded as a SOO player. Why? For the reason there are so few 6ft 4 inch 105 kg forwards who consistently make line breaks. His loss and its impact on the balance of the team imo has been marked.

The loss of Lui who could spark the attack and remove pressure from Benji has also been felt. Humble does not have the vision. You either have it or you don't, just watch Mitchell Pearce. Humble cannot consistently put players into gaps or make breaks himself as can Lui.

Moltzen had to go to fullback due to his ball playing ability (good left to right pass) and pace. Ryan is a competent fill in, but a much better winger for the team.

Ryans ability under the high ball, speed running the ball back and kick chases are what we need at fullback. Moltzen produces none of those. Attacking fullbacks are a luxury. You need a fullback that is at least, a good defender.

Ryan provides that.

You can put Moltzen at 7, get same service from him and reduce the risk of him conceding soft tries through his piss poor defence, positioning or ineptitude & lack of fortitude under the high ball.

Humble defends 1000 times better than Lui given the same opportunities to cement his position would be the equivalent of Lui in attack which is not that high a benchmark - he just isnt a Sheens golden boy.
