HES seen the game from a players perspective, and now former international Luke Priddis is relishing the chance to give something back to rugby league in a trainers role at the Australian Schoolboys tournament in Port Macquarie.
Priddis is involved with the Combined Independent Schools side, and said he wasnt enjoying all aspects of being on that side of the fence.
Its frustrating, I wont lie to you, he said.
But its a good way of dipping my toe back into the water a bit.
Priddis played for the Canberra Raiders, Brisbane Broncos, Penrith Panthers and St George Illawarra Dragons during his 13-year NRL career.
He won the 2000 NRL premiership with the Broncos and the 2003 premiership with the Panthers, and became the first hooker to win the Clive Churchhill Medal.
Priddis was selected to play for NSW in 2001. He also played for Australia in 1997.
Priddis said he enjoyed drawing on that extensive experience to help the youngsters in the CIS side.
He said he had his eye on young Mitchell Moses, after the NSW Combined Catholic Colleges five-eighth impressed yesterday.Hes obviously a good young talent, Priddis said.
