How do we see the future of the club?
I think the Dragons will be fine but there may be some tough times ahead. It is such a compressed sporting market and it will take some smart minds to navigate the correct path.
It's big business now days. Our on-field performances will be driven by our off-field performance, most notably the Board of Directors. The days of every Board having a tinker, a tailor and a candle stick maker are long gone. We need astute leadership. In my experience a fish always rots from the head down.
We have so much history, a huge hinterland, great juniors and passionate supporters. We are the Big Red V. But when I look at the financials underpinning the Club, guess then second guess where our money is going, and look at some poor crowd attendances, it is no lay down misere.
Not long ago the Panthers were massive news, driven by a behemoth of a Club. Look at them now. Michael Searle was the benchmark CEO. Really? The Sharks were a useless side, on the verge of surrender. Umm, I'm not seeing it.
The only thing constant in life is change. I think we need to change a few things to be assured of the future that we, as supporters, deserve. Amen.

I have absolutely no idea what the club is thinking and why they cannot see that.
We have been 'up there' as well tbh. We've made the finals as consistently as any club. But I digress, this is about the future...I look at Manly and yeah I know everyone hates them. But they're the only team (because Storm, blatantly, cheated) who have been 'up there' for the past five years. That's what I would like to see from the Dragons. Consistency each season.

It's impossible to predict, unless you're an idiot savant like BBC. But for me, well, maybe the premiership of 2010 has induced in me an enduring Buddhist-like state of nirvana, putting me on a higher (or way lower?) plane of consciousness. Because, I'm ok with the future. The upcoming NRL broadcast deal appears certain to provide a massive financial windfall for all clubs, and our key points of difference as a club will become more pronounced. Player-wise we retained Cam King, who was my highest priority this year (and may have shattered my nirvana had he left), and I'm keen to see him come along with our other young crew
