i think the guy hadn't really tasted defeat so he was definitely overconfident. He seemed to be a lot more humble in the interview after the 100 final and took it a lot better than he did the relay.

We really need to look into the massive conflict of interest with our swim coaches.
If the rumours of the coaches getting $100K - $200K bonuses for Chinese swimmers getting medals how would that not be when these coaches are also training Aussie swimmers.

Yeah I channel surf through the 8 channels and usually end up watching a non-sport show.

Looking forward to week 2, as I enjoy track n field plus cycling goes indoors.

Week 2 also brings us (womens) diving for the perve factor.

Yes ladies diving has lots of perve value. I quite often score them 9's or even the rare 10.

So who reckons the Chinese swimmers are on drugs?

One gold in Beijing on their home turf, they've already beaten that here. The last time they were this good was when they had a systematic doping system going on and the girls looked like men.

When I saw the girls come out for the 100m butterfly, and the Chinese girl was in a wide lane, I thought "I bet she medals".
Sure enough.

It just doesn't smell right.

I think most people are very naive about the level of doping in top level sports. I believe they're probably all doing it, to be honest.

LOL at CH9 News the other night who's Olympic coverage was headed by the "exclusive" story that Emily Seebohm's gold medal chance was dashed because she posted on twitter a few times the night before the race.
