Final top 8?

How did the Cows overtake Manly?

agree. If all wins are awarded to the higher placed team, Manly play no teams above them and are already 2 points above the Cows, therefore we cannot fall below them.

I think Manly will finish 3rd or 4th, should win against Newcastle, Brisbane and the Titans.

I get the following:

1. Bulldogs - 42
2. Storm - 38
3. Rabbitohs - 38
4. Manly - 36
5. Cowboys - 34
6. Broncos - 28
7. Tigers - 28
8. Sharks - 27

And that's with Brisbane only beating Penrith at Suncorp, and all other clear favourites winning their games.

Can't really see how anyone could have Brisbane dropping out of the 8 without bias coming into it.

Who ever finishes 7th & 8th won't see the second week of the finals so it doesn't matter.

Seriously just fighting to make up the numbers this year.

Massive difference in class between the top 4 and bottom 12.

The new finals system absolutely favours the teams finishing 7th or 8th, so can't agree with that.

Really? If the 6v7 match involves 2 of the Sharks, Tigers or Boncos, it could go either way, all 3 are horribly out of form.

Without bias coming into it?

 A Broncos fan saying they'll make it, accusing others of bias?

You haven't won a game in how long, including a loss to Parramatta! You're about to play Storm, another possible loss, then Manly. Penrith are a chance at that rate!

FMD Typical Timmah shooting his mouth off without any forethought.

As I stated, that table includes Brisbane losing to Melbourne, Manly and only beating the Panthers. If you take bias out of it (ie - higher ranked teams beating lower ranked teams), Penrith are the only team Brisbane will be favourites against. Even then they finish 6th. And even then if they do lose to Penrith, their points differential will still most likely see them finish 8th.

But I guess you missed the returning form Brisbane displayed when they led your mob 14-0 and only fell off at the end due to lack of intensity and the massive leg up the Dogs got from the refs.

Also, the Storm lost to Parramatta a week before the Broncos. You writing them off?

Again, bias out of it?

You lost to Parramatta.

And you're relying on teams below you losing enough games to not overtake you.

If you take bias out of it.

couldnt agree more,
the fact both the raiders and knights are in contention for the finals is an indictment on the top 8.

Clearly posted as an avid raiders fans

Why though?

You could say the same about the Sharks, Broncos and Tigers with the performances they have put in. If Knights or Raiders make it over these teams it's completely deserved.

The teams below Brisbane and in contention for the finals are:

Raiders - Roosters (H) - W, Bulldogs (H) - L, Warriors (A) - L
Titans - Eels (H) - W, Panthers (A) - W, Manly (H) - L
Tigers - Bulldogs (A) - L, Roosters (A) - W, Storm (H) - L
Sharks - Souths (H) - L, Storm (A) - L, Cowboys (H) - L

How is that relying on teams below Brisbane to lose enough games? Even if the Sharks jag an unlikely win against the Cowboys at home it still means Brisbane finish 7th.

Work it out Timmah. Have the higher ranked teams beating the lower ranked teams and the result is as I have it. What don't you understand about this?

FFS Parra beat Melbourne. Are you writing off their chances?

I meant compared to last year. This year there is a lot more chance of 7 & 8 progressing to week 2, as they will be playing weaker teams than previous years.
