I think today just confirmed the gulf between top 4 & the rest. The Roosters are a very good team this year & were pumped up for today. The Dragons lost their way in the first half after that blitz, but held their own in the 2nd. The Roosters defence was strong, but the Dragons made it easier by kicking early on numerous occasions in good field position.

Agree today we saw the difference between a good team us and a premiership contender. Heads up we tried our best just wasn't our day, every trick shot they pulled also came off.

I dont have a problem with the club giving price another season. However he needs more than Thompson & Widdop. If we sign Dugan, Katsballs from the dogs, Chase, the pommy fwd, we may go okay next season, but it don't look good after today.

The bottom line is we signed Steve Price because we couldn't get Bellamy or anyone better given a very sparse pool to pick from. Best of luck to Price.

Surely such coaching mediocrity should not be so lavishly rewarded. At least the Board has acknowledged the dire position our club is in. But to reappoint the catalyst for our predicament is diabolical in my view.

Did not our team have the opportunity to put in a big one today for our reappointed coach today?

OK I definately won't be renewing my membership next year. This club obviously has not intention of winning a comp soon which is sad. Their standards are low. 3 wins and he gets a contract? If that is the case then why not re-sign Soward? Is he to blame?

Roosters coach 7 games in and totally outclassed Price 33+ games.

I am deadset devastated with this announcement. Surely they don't think he is capable of winning an NRL comp, they are just happy to plod along mid table.

Saints will be favourites for wooden spoon again next season. Great. I can't understand the rush to make a decision on the coach by round 7? If the get flogged like they did today in the next couple of weeks it will be marked down as the worst decision in history.

QFT.
The meltdowns by our fans after a loss are like no other. Disgraceful.

Accept the loss, they were simply too good today and they would be too good for many others this year too.

My thoughts pretty much exactly, however if we can rush some other signings i.e. dugan and chase he would have a lot more to work with. I just don't see what other coaching options there are and I can only assume some players wanted to know who the coach was going to be so they could make up their minds about staying, coming or going.

Today was humiliating even though the Roosters are red hot. It's not often us Dragons fans get emarrassed by our teams performance but under Price it happens all too often.

Sea Eagles next week... ouch

Any ideas who should they have signed as coach?

The meltdown happened on the field gypsy. Don't blame the grave diggers for the demise of the deceased (our once great club).

We've won 3 of our last 4, have we not? Geez.
Hornby mentioned true believers in a speech sometime...
To those clowns already talking about throwing in their membership after a loss - good riddance

All comes down to one problem within our Club; there is no accountability from the Board through to the executive, the coaching staff and even the players. We have a lot of pain ahead so get used to it.

Price has his new contract so the pressures off. Performance isn't in his job criteria.

I will first re-state my backing of the Price re-signing but I don't think it is fair to attack fans for having their own opinion and sharing their disgust. Decent Dragons fans will vote with their feet if they detest the decisions of management. That is their right and don't kid yourself the Dragons reputation hasn't taken a huge blow in the last couple of years. We were all true believers in 2010. You didn't find slippery or myself bagging the team then because good calls and plans were being made. Hornby didn't say "this is for the blind sheep".

BTW we beat the Tigers, Sharks and Knights. Not exactly benchmark opposition.
