One of Norman's plusses is his versatility - can play fullback, wing, centre and five-eighth. Benji's still a long shot at this stage - but if he does come, Ricky could easily accommodate the pair of them. Benji needs a change in clubs - would be the best thing for him. He clearly needs a new environment.

They are looking for a five-eighth and he would be a popular choice there. The Warriors have money to spend and it depends on how they go in their quest for Sam Tomkins. It is dragging on and looking more remote the longer it does so. But Benji also has lucrative third party deals, like with Channel 9 in Sydney, and it is believed he wants to say in town. If he does move, I doubt it will be far.

Can't see it happening because of the dollars Benji would demand. Penrith have shown their hand in offloading big money players like Lewis and Jennings. They did go all out for Todd Carney but on the whole are investing in youth and local juniors.

Tigers will not only release him, but will also pay some of his wage to any club that picks him up. But Blair is on over $500K and won't budge for less than that... would you? Chances are, he will stay where he is, although there is a little interest from the UK. Obviously, some clubs don't watch video...

Talking to both at the moment. My guess is they will stay. The Eels have plenty off contract and will be letting some go - Ben Roberts for example - but these are two good young kids with bright futures. They should stay on board.
Any news on signings at the Sharks?
The club has been chasing English Test winger Tom Briscoe for a while now but the latest word is he is likely to stay in Britain. The club is desperate for outside backs and believe they are close to signing boom Broncos kid Jordan Kahu. He can play - will be great for them if he signs.

They are having a look at Canberra's Sam Williams. Young Sammy is struggling for game time with the Raiders and could be a good and relatively inexpensive pick-up. A Soward-Williams scrum-base combination would not surprise.

Interesting one this. Brenton's dad was in the Air Force so he moved around a lot and, as you point out, started his career in South Australia. Country selectors were taking a look at him but - and this part is ludicrous - he's not actually eligible for Origin. He is caught in no man's land but let's hope a ruling can be made soon and is free for one or the other because he has the ability to play at that level.
