Morris to the dragons would now seem dead in the water with reports today that Folau has signed with the Tahs.
The bulldogs will not let morris leave with a year still left on his contract. Best case senario now would be to get him for 2015 . He will turn 29 in 2015 I'm not sure it's worth going with his skills and experience or looking at someone younger. Thoughts people. ....

I still think he would be good value for a three year deal
Takes him to 32 years

I hope that with Barba going to the Broncs and Folau staying where he should the Dogs don't come after Dugan. Because I reckon he'll go.

My worst fear as well. Dugan like any other NRL player wants a chance at winning a grand final. He also would desire having a top-line coach to bring the best out of him and the team he plays with.

Doust should have signed Dugan by now and because he has not, my fear is that Dugan may move on at end of season. Cummins, Beale and Quinlan aren't a patch on Dugan and so I say out loud;

Doust sign Dugan now before it's too late!
Doust sign a new coach now and tell Dugan about it!

Your obsessed - first Broncos and Now Doggies. The Duges ain't going nowhere. We may be hard up recruiting...but once we land the players...they love the club. No gaurentee the Dogs will be above the Dragons next year (although Dugan being there would change that no doubt)

You should ask possm what he thinks of that :sarcasm:

Kasiano had aome personal issues within the club. I've been told that he is still not happy with the way the Dogs dealt with these issues and if he can't get a release he will definitely be gone when his contract expires.

It seems that Barba is leaving and Folau not coming to the Dogs. So things might be a little easier for Kasiano in 2014.

If/when Dugan signs with the Dragons, I think you'll find that Cummins will want to move to the Dogs.

Dogs can take him then!!

I wouldn't bother with Kasiano. I reckon Seru will be just as good within a couple of years, much cheaper and home-grown.

relax guys, the announcement on Dugan re-signing will be soon ( probably next week ) - didn't want to make it public & add attention to him before the Raiders game ( plus some people wouldn't think that was very classy either )

We need to sign a player the size of Kasiano with a hard nose attitude. Seru may be ready in a couple of years and yes, I would love to see him carve them up. But we need a good big prop or two for season 2014.

The Dragons have Stockwell, De Belin, Hunt, Cooper and possibly Creagh and Merrin as first grade props. I'm not sure who else they are keeping but none of the above are the big prop that we need.

Listening to Dugan last night on the Game Plan,he says he hopes everything is finalised soon ,suggesting things are almost in place, hopefully.

I dont think we 'need' anyone. Melbourne Storm won the comp last year with little more than a 'solid' pack. Same with Manly the year before. While having an extra bit of size might be nice, our forward pack has enough skill, aggression and ability to match it with most others, all they need is to have the right attitude instilled into them and the right game plan.

you can have all the forwards you like, but when you have a 50year old halfback nothing will help.

Cameron Smith will be an immortal IMO
Cronk and Slater could never be classified as "little more"
Jamie Lyon, Brett Stewart, Will Hopoate, Steve Mattai, DCE, Keiran Foran that's a reasonable bunch of back wouldn't you say?

The 'little more' was referring to the labelling of their respective forwad packs as 'solid'...but while you are on that topic, our team next year will be nothing to be scoffed at - we still have the best back 3 in the comp (IMO - worlds best wingers and TheDugan); we'll have the English International 5/8 and a very promising up-and-coming halfback, as well as more-than-capable centres.

The point I was trying to make is that having 1 extra forward who is 'big and aggressive' wont define our season next year, based on our spine and team balance we SHOULD be up the top end of the table regardless.
