This once proud club I'm sickened to say has no passion or guts any more. The players have capitulated and have no pride in the club, its supporters or themselves. They should be ashamed of this performance and all concerned should have a long, hard look at themselves

How long before Creagh is dropped? Haven't heard him called all night, but I suppose he is executing the coaches plan to a tee, no effort in attack or defense !

I think most supporters are sick of this pathetic effort put in week in week out. They pull a win and go straight back to this type of footy. How many more times are we to be subjected to this crap. If this is what the coach is telling him to do then sack him. If this is what the players are doing on their own, then sack them. Dont play pass the buck. Show some guts and get the axe out.

Dugan and nightingale should be the only ones collecting their pay tonight.

I hate price more than I hated Gilard, he couldn't couch under fives, the team is just playing as individuals not as a team ffs how the fk do you lose a game like that

....if Steve Price says he was really proud of their effort and congratulates that, and goes on to say that we played reallly well in the middle half of the game their ...leaving them the sense that 'well, we lost but it was ok because we did some good things ...instead of saying that was rubbish and completely unacceptable...."

the Dragons made a complete meal of that game.

On a positive note, they are the first points we have scored at Kograh for a few games now.

Honestly, did you any of you really expect anything different? We have an inexperienced halves pairing and are relying on individual skill to pull us through. Until we establish some consistent combinations in key positions and start playing as a team with confidence in each other, this is not going to change. We might jag a win here or there, but it won't get any better until we start building a quality team. And that doesn't start until next year.

Price might be part of the problem - but he isn't the sole problem as so many of you seem to think. We just don't have the right players in key positions AND we don't have any options to fill those positions. We are heading in the right direction with Quinlan, but he is far from being a quality half in first grade. Next year should be a massive step forward with our signings.

This Year?

When we were up by 12 I really thought we'd go on with it, then the pants down effect kicked in...

...Still, i guess just to much lost at the beginning and at the middle of the season, leaving too much on the shoulders of inexperienced Players.

I just don't accept the season had to Play out like this. It could've and should've been managed better ..

Yes, it started with the recruiting for this year - really didn't give ourselves a chance from the outset

Price is the majority of the problem, we have a decent side on paper and no one is improving under the coaching of this muppet. How f**king lucky are we Dugan come on board. He is the only one yet to be affected with Price's stupidity!

...it's a better interview this time by Steve Price. At least he shows some emotion (disgust), and the passive aggressive Wayne Bennet interview technique which shows nothing but contempt for the process, at least is showing signs of fading at last.

I believe the post match press conf are an opportunity to send a strong message about yourself as a Coach and equally a strong message to your men ...because it is public.

Oh well.

Interesting comment by Des Hasler...

"St.George have been playing r e a l l y well this season ...they carry the ball agressively, and are coached by a smart young coach in Steve Price" ...hehe

Make of that what you will.

If we have a decent team on paper, then why do people constantly dump on a majority of the team? Who do we play in the centres - we don't have anyone of any quality to put in there - not in first grade or in the Cutters. The only possible player that has any potential is Charly - and he is still coming through with little experience in the Cutters and first grade. Hell even Quinlan only made his cutters debut midway through last season. Who do we put in the halves? We have 0 options there as well - we have an ageing hooker and rookie - really our only 2 options - again, in both comps (Drinkwater hasn't been performing and Seijka has only just arrived and has been injured). Our forwards lack go-forward. I don't believe Creagh is a good leader on the field and I don't believe we have anyone steering the game on the field.

You can't solely blame the coach and say it is a majority his fault. Yes he has made some baffling decisions, but I don't think the recruitment has helped and our current squad, really, is not all that good on paper. We probably have one of the best pair of wingers and fullback, a couple of good forwards, but the rest leaves a lot to be desired.

I love everyones passion and commitement to the team, but seriously, compare the team to the teams in the top 8. The squad we have really just doesn't compare. A better coach may have done a little better, but I doubt we would have made the 8 this year with a different coach.
