I have a question Now that Both Edwards and Sticky have left can we get Folau? Those 2 said after he decided to go to rugby that he wouldnt be welcome back to the eels.. But now lets sign him up for 2015!

It had nothing to do with them.
Folau didn't come to league because of scumbert.

We don't need folau???? Every team in the NRL needs Folau.

He is a freak, and from a marketing point of view he would do wonders.

When you have Hayne and Hopoate in your team there are better players you can add than Folau and they would hopefully have a number higher than 5 on their back.

Folau is a freak, but I think we need an SBW-type player for our team - a guy that can pass, offload, run and tackle well.

Obviously few players are as good as him, but if we could nab a guy who can do it half as well as him, we are looking better.

Tanginoa and Terepo are great defenders and run hard, but have no footwork or ball-playing ability.

Joseph Paulo has some great skill, but can be defensively soft and is inconsistent.

And there are others who don't think that but rather have the view that our recruiting should focus on addressing deficiencies rather than just targeting someone because they are a big name.

so the recruitment of a player the class of Falou wouldn't address our deficiencies?

i'll use another sport as an example but should the denver broncos not have recruited payton manning and kept tim tebow????

it doesnt matter what position he plays, a player of Falou's class is going to stand up and win you the big games. look at the impact he is having on the Wallabies.

I agree we do need some forwards but i do feel that the current crop coming through are quite capable.

If one of our main deficiencies is that our forwards generally get monstered by the opposition pack, then no I think there are limits to what a player like Folau can add.

I'll ask you - Why you think a player like Folau automatically turns us into world beaters?

i'll use another sport as an example but should the denver broncos not have recruited payton manning and kept tim tebow????

I'll have to pass on that one but to be honest given that you are talking about quarterbacks it doesn't strike me as being relevant to a conversation about an outside back who plays in a role that is far less integral to the success of a team.

This.

Plenty of clubs (e.g Cronulla and Souths) could use Israel Folau (whether they can fit him into their cap is another matter) but he would most certainly be outside back overkill for us.

Noticed in the Daily Telegraph that they said Beau Falloon was still unsigned for 2014. If this is correct, then they must have rocks in their heads. I know that they have Matt Srama, but I think that Falloon is and exceptional dummy half and even better then Peats. Boy I wish we had signed Falloon instead.

On hookers the tele also wrote that Apisai Koroisau was still unsigned for 2014 and I think that he has more of an up side then K. Foran.

Also if we were really smart and sneaky too, I would make a big play for Penriths u20's hooker Kierran Moseley when his contract is coming up. They have James Segeyaro and I can't see them giving him a full time gig for quite a while, while Segeyaro is there. We on the other hand have no one of that class at Parra.

Yeah I know people here see K. Pritchard as the great dummy half hope, but I am yet to be convinced and will be surprised if he really makes it big, on account of his size and the fact that whenever I have watched him play he has been at best average.

Whereas K. Moseley, ever time I see the guy play he kills it, just like he did yesterday in the u20's GF. Also he is 6ft and 80k and still growing, with speed and a passing game at dummy half to die for. Oh did I say the boy can tackle.
