Noticed in the Daily Telegraph that they said Beau Falloon was still unsigned for 2014. If this is correct, then they must have rocks in their heads. I know that they have Matt Srama, but I think that Falloon is and exceptional dummy half and even better then Peats. Boy I wish we had signed Falloon instead.

On hookers the tele also wrote that Apisai Koroisau was still unsigned for 2014 and I think that he has more of an up side then K. Foran.

Also if we were really smart and sneaky too, I would make a big play for Penriths u20's hooker Kierran Moseley when his contract is coming up. They have James Segeyaro and I can't see them giving him a full time gig for quite a while, while Segeyaro is there. We on the other hand have no one of that class at Parra.

Yeah I know people here see K. Pritchard as the great dummy half hope, but I am yet to be convinced and will be surprised if he really makes it big, on account of his size and the fact that whenever I have watched him play he has been at best average.

Whereas K. Moseley, ever time I see the guy play he kills it, just like he did yesterday in the u20's GF. Also he is 6ft and 80k and still growing, with speed and a passing game at dummy half to die for. Oh did I say the boy can tackle.

Big difference between the two is that Pritchard played in teams that suck this year, while Mosely plays for a team that went deep into the post-season. It's difficult to look good when you're a rookie and have to step it up two-fold because the rest of your teammates blow chunks.

I'm not saying Kaysa is the one, but he's a very good player IMO. Great defender for his size and nippy out of dummy-half.

If I recall correctly, we offered Falloon a deal a few years back and he knocked us back...

Agree Falloon can run the ball but he's an ordinary defender.

If Koroisau is still unsigned then he's probably a poor defender too.

Pritchard is still eligible for NYC next year too. As is Mosely.

If one of our main deficiencies is that our forwards generally get monstered by the opposition pack, then no I think there are limits to what a player like Folau can add.

I'll ask you - Why you think a player like Folau automatically turns us into world beaters?

yes our forward pack is a problem but i think we have already recruited and developed our selves into a better position.

because players like falou win big games, sbw showed it last night, the big three the year before and the stewart bros the year before that. you could build that most amazing forward pack in the comp like the sharks. but if you dont have world class strike power behind it, you aint going to win a comp.

I'll have to pass on that one but to be honest given that you are talking about quarterbacks it doesn't strike me as being relevant to a conversation about an outside back who plays in a role that is far less integral to the success of a team.

The point is Denver recruited class in Manning and Welker and now they play like pure class.

Well we do have at least one world class player in our backline, plus some brilliance in Hopoate, Norman and Sandow. If we spent any more on outside backs we should expect to have shit forwards.

That's not the point at all. It's a simplistic comparison of two different situations.

it doesnt matter what position he plays, a player of Falou's class is going to stand up and win you the big games. look at the impact he is having on the Wallabies.

I agree we do need some forwards but i do feel that the current crop coming through are quite capable.

Have you watched the Wallabies? Folau ain't winning them games because he gets to touch the ball about three times a game. Their forwards aren't up to it.

Manly and the roosters have a lot of cap space allocated from 1 - 7 yet they still have very good forward packs. I understand that we have cap issues ATM and that any player we attract we are paying huge overs for. But falou has a certain level of class that you need to win premierships.

It is a simplistic comparison but does it need to be that complicated? The roosters also recruited class in Maloney, SBW and Jennings. It payed off big time for them.

Look I wouldn't say no to Falou if the opportunity arose and we could cut the right guys(dead wood) all at once to fit him in, sure who wouldn't want someone that good?

But our priority right now, as other people have been trying to tell you, is forwards not outside backs. We really do need a hard and intimidating frontrower or backrower at the moment more then anything. Someone like Russell Packer would have been ideal, but alas uncle Benny swooped on that one and signed him for four years, that's how good super coach thinks Russell is.

I don't think there was any press release about it but Koroisau did tweet that he had re-signed for 1 more year midway through the season.

@Poups - Koroisau definitely needs work on his defensive technique but from what I saw in 2013, he is a superb attacker. He carved Wenty up twice this year, once at hooker and once at halfback. With that said, he was playing behind a monstrous forward pack that game him a lot of time and space.

the roosters comparison is probably closer to your point than (hypothetically) parra signing folau, ie, a qb and a wr is closer to a half, an outside back plus a forward than comparing to recruiting just one outside back. had denver just recruited welker and not manning (the year before) do you really think they would be setting the nfl on fire?

chucking folau in our side this year may have given us a couple of extra points but at the end of the day we leaked that many that no-one would've noticed. anyway, we have hopoate in 2014 which i prefer to folau.

*denver have also had a draw of below average teams to start the season and apart from maybe the colts, probably won't face a decent team until about week9.
