Good to see England fight the whole way today. Normally they fall away and at 28-16 I thought we were going to win by 30+.

Overall a very good first up game.
The more English players in the NRL the better as it is helping lift their standards.

Australia still a long way from their best, understandable with no warm-ups under their belt and a horrific surface.
Plenty of improvement to come from the Roos & we'll need it against that powerful NZ line-up.

And jesus, that Sam Burgess is one braindead piece of sh*t.

I think England missed a bit on the edges. They seemed to create a bit of space but the centres didn't turn that into breaks.

Nah the twins only dropped it once each. Sam dropped it 3-4 times, was stood up like a botch by slater, and have away 3 penalties on his own.
