There are so many people on here who seem to not know much about the game, but are happy to dish out crap on players every chance they get.
Sandow is a half, a half will never have a good game unless his forward pack is going forward, this is something we have failed to do for about 2 years, our forward pack just gets monstered by most packs.
Sandow or whoever the half is has no time or space to then do anything.
Watch whenever a player like Thurston or Cronk get MOM they always give credit to their forward pack.

Sandow still managed to provide some touches of brilliance especially at the start of the year, but you cant expect a playmaker to do much at all, unless the forward pack is making meters and getting quick play the balls.

+when the forwards have laid some sort of platform he's had arguably some of the worst runners in the comp running off him (not counting hayne when he wasn't injured)

what do you expect them to say? you read too much in the cliche responses players give (and spend too much time in the soccer thread).

Serious?

Any person with any sort of knowledge about league knows halves are only ever going to play well when they have time and space, this is provided by the Forwards.
they are more likely to play well, not "only ever going to play well"1. i've seen thurst, johns and fittler carve up without their forward pack dominating. i've also seen ball players struggle despite their forward pack playing well.

i guess i don't have any sort of knowledge about league.

Heard this morning.

Not a bad signing IMO. Good for our forward pack, he was a pretty handy player at Manly this year and played under Arthur.

He was bit frustrating during his stint at Saints. Would absolutely dominate the NSW Cup, but struggled to make an impact at NRL level

that's my impression of him too, too good for reserves but hasn't been able to make the step up in firsts. is a solid lump and offers plenty of experience and a bit of maturity to the pack at least, despite not being that old
