I lived in Brisbane for nearly 3 years, so I'm speaking from experience. I worked at Chermside, West End, Albion and Milton.

Only been back once and that was for work.

Boring as f**k, no culture (other than the dumb redneck culture) and nothing at all interesting about the place. When you go to Brisbane and ask "What can I do?" you will be met with blank faces and then responses like "You can go shopping in the Queen St Mall"

I can shop in malls in nearly every f**king town with a population over 1000 in this country.

"You can go to Southbank"

And look at river that looks and smells like an effluent run-off? Melbourne has that too with the Yarra.

"You can go watch a movie"

I can do that shit at home.

"You can go to Fortitude Valley"

Wow, watch scrawny women dancing around. They have porn on the internet for free and I have a wife. That shit is better and costs me about the same.

"You can visit the Gold Coast"

And become a victim of crime. Yay!
