It's their own fault...they squander the money that the ARU gives them for development, so the local comp is pretty ordinary because anyone with any talent generally winds up getting a good money offer from Sydney clubs. It's funny, people support the Brumbies but hate them at the same time. Marist has produced quite a few very good players though, as has Eddies.
