Fiji/Bali , look the same. Certainly stuffs up his vacation , he left yesterday lunch time with a few mates , unbelievable for Brad:crazy:

I reckon it was well sorted out before Arthur left yesterday. I doubt Hayne rocked up to the club last night and negotiated a release along with a 'lifelong eels agreement ' in a few hours.

I can't believe people are so relaxed about this - the ramifications for not only our on-field performance but for our sponsors, memberships, etc., are huge for us. This is a major blow to the club and I care more about the club than I do Jarryd's ego...

Getting mad isn't gonna help anything, it's not like he's gonna read that the internet is mad at him and change his mind.

Seems like this decision was made well over a year ago, the only thing I don't like is that he didn't give us a chance to give him the farewell he deserved..

Other than that, we should wish him luck, Parra with plod along without him, it's gonna suck unless he fill the gap and fast, but Parra will continue on.

f**ked the club or given us the chance to spread the cap and get more quality players into the roster (albeit no one of Haynes quality).
And where are we going to find that talent now???

I'm heading to the TAB and loading up on us for the spoon next year.

Ouch, this is a big blow to the Club.

I'm torn between wishing him the best & realising we just lost a player that anyone would kill to have in their team.

Devastated – a part of me has died

He won’t make it – good on him for trying but as much as he has the talent, NFL is a very technical game and learning playbooks alone is a huge challenge. College guys spend years trying to crack it to make the draft and even then, a lot get cut. It is a more brutal sport than league – you don’t have a second division of players……….you have 75 players on a roster and as many as a 1/3 will never play a minute in competitive games all year. I don’t want him to fail but I fear he will. He is competing with a population of 300m………compared to 20m in Australia.

But yes, for 2015 we are in trouble……….we aren’t going to get anyone to replace him, we don’t have a fullback, or our best player. Our only chance of winning a title was with him……….I have to say I will understand the anger towards him for this reason alone. We are now left in the lurch, can’t really sign anyone so our 2015 is pretty much gone……….

Well that's us boned

Moving forward I wonder what this means for Folau? We should chuck Haynes money at him this afternoon, he's very obviously unhappy in the Wallabies set up. Depending on the conditions of the release, of course. Hayne may be back, and sooner than we think. I can't see him transitioning in time to be half as good over there as he is here.

Benji Marshall also thought he would be an All Black.........changing from league to union isn't as big as NFL..........

He will be back in 2016.

It's still only a trial, some team has to pick him otherwise he'll be back here in the not too distant future I would presume.

Anyway, Watmough and Stewart for 2015?

what happens if he doesn't make it and we dont have cap space as we moved on?

Schubert's replacement can say we can't sign him for minimum wage?

can went sign him

So for NFl fans what are haynes chances of making it over there?

He is risking a lot by going.

Kick returner is my bet. It's essentially the same as league fullback but with blocking allowed.

But most teams would want him to be at least a 3rd string backup at another position, usually running back, but he has size for safety & speed for wide receiver as well, but NFL teams prefer specialists over generalists.

Then there is always punter

Good luck to him. He will be back eventually but for now we need a back up I reckon Stewart will come
