Not to worry, it's just the NRL stockpiling for the arenas for all the people that won't be there.

Greenberg saying they are preparing for possible outcomes from the COVID19 virus in Australia.

No real mention of any specific actions being taken but elsewhere sporting events have either been cancelled, post poned or played in front of empty stadiums.

Are we going to see matched played in empty stadiums this year?

COVID19 is likely going to be in the community on an ongoing nature now, what will the future hold for the NRL?

The players also need to be considered. playing in front of 10k or more fans all yelling at the field must send some germs towards the field, are we going to see players voicing their concerns about playing, refusing to?

This is a rugby league forum so you won't get much in the way of intelligent responses but this is a very rational and timely post.

Gutted, they’ve pushed the new James Bond movie release back to November! Nrl response will be governed by the Australian governments response. They will be the way to enforce any possible crowd dispersion strategies. F1 is still going ahead this month in Melbourne and that gets around 100k people at it.

That depends on if they ban travel from Italy. F1 have already said if Ferrari can't compete, they can't hold the round as a championship round. Most likely they will race without Ferrari for no points if it came to that.

Unless the gov make an exception for Ferrari team members, but that sets a bit of a precedence I doubt they want to set.
