I don't think we need him. What about Reed? he is promising junior coming in ranks, and had a great trial matches.
Hmmmmmmmmmm.
I personally think we're Buckley's chance of signing DCE but wow you are smoking some mighty powerful stuff if you're thinking any NRL coach worth their salt is choosing Reed over DCE as their halfback come 2026.......

Yeah, Flanno will know if we are a chance (ie we aren’t ) therefore bringing on our own halfback is a good idea. That said, Ried is years off being a marque halfback, and wee typically do the hard years before someone else steals them :(

Genuinely interested in what people see in Kyle? Tries hard.. that's great.. but so does Lawrie, for example. What about his actual output/ability makes people think we will be anywhere near competitive with the top sides in the competition in say 1, 2 or 3 years time with Kyle in the side? What point of difference does Kyle bring? People say he can organise.. based on what? His unremarkable attacking play and lack of spark does not automatically make him an "organising half". We constantly in fact look disjointed, unorganised, unimaginative and directionless. Add to this he doesn't have a long kicking game, a good pass selection/vision.. he doesn't bring much to the side at all in my view. As I said, tries hard, but what about his actual game makes him above reserve grade standard.. and more to the point, what about him makes him a potential contributor to an actual top 4 team in future as that is where we should want to be going?
In the first 2 matches this year our wingers have scored 6 out of 9 tries, all of which are at the end of sweeping backline movements. Somewhere in the mix for those atackling raids are Kyle and Ilias. That's what it takes to be a team so I think there are other areas that need improvement before they have to go.

What have you got against the Couchman boys Possum? Klemmer not signed for 26 as yet.

I’ve heard that despite Flanagan being interested in DCE club officials are not wanting to offer him a contract cause they believe he will not want to relocate from manly to Wollongong
I am sort of feeling this way also.. we can drop some 1.2-1.5 number on him.. and he still doesnt choose us, and its a really dud look for us..

I think another Sydney club seems the most likely for him if he can stay in the same house/schools.
