Sommerton went off with a cat 1, but Luke was cleared. Was one of a very short list of players who looked dangerous.

The Dogs look to be shot with or without Kiraz. They looked much better balanced with Sexton at 7.

No one can do what Kenny does in our club. Not many in the comp can actually. But the next best is Sommerton/Luke. We've got no one else. Maybe next week rest Kenny and try someone else in the 9? BS or maybe another forward if they can hack it?

No Kiraz is a disaster. And if the Dogs have balls they'll make the correct move: Xerri wing, Burton centre and Sexton back at 7. It really is bizzare how they've handled signing Galvin. They've tanked their season in spectacular fashion.

I thought Geyer ripped in pretty well. Bit harsh on him. He was the leading metre eater for our pack. Also second highest post contact metres.

Laurie was our best by miles. Has an argument for replacing Edwards he was that good, so surely he gets the job over Schneider.

A few decent performances considering they were up against one of the best defensive sides in the NRL and had the abolute worst halfback in the NRL destroying momentum. The 10m touch finders, kick out on the full, intercepts, runs that lost metres etc. from Schneider just put the team under the pump. Schneider somehow managed to lose about 5 metres from a f**king dummy half run ffs. Everything he did put pressure on us.

Bulldogs. Wow. They are going out in straight sets for sure. I hope we get them in week 2 of finals. Can't imagine an easier game to get for progressing to week 3. I think we could send our reserve grade side with Cleary at 7 and beat them to be honest. If they didn't get gifted field position from the referees and Schneider they wouldn't have scored at all.

Alamoti, Laurie (was our best), Huth and Geyer went alright. I thought they all looked first grade players. Hard to gauge anyone else really, the dogs were as expected a class above our cup side.

Laurie deserves a permanent gig somewhere - he was easily the best fullback on the park tonight. Hopefullly Perth pick him up.

Apart from Alamoti, Laurie and Patea there isnt much to hold onto with the reserves, Jesse M was ordinary but have seen him play better so happy if he gets a couple of years to prove himself. Glad to see the back of Schneider and Huth, Ivan's only flaw imo is his bench selection, picking either or both is insane to me..
Bit harsh. Patea didn’t show much tonight - needs to raise his fitness level. Geyer and Huth our two best forwards tonight. Geyer will be a decent pickup for the Tigers and may even push for a starting spot.

Outside of Laurie, not a lot to get excited about in that team although they did the job and put in a very respectable performance for our club.

I thought Smith looked pretty sturdy. Lipowicz will carve out a good career in the UK, Geyer would go good over there too. McLean certainly looks a flop and Patea looked a long way off a guy that could lead a pack but that’s not surprising.

And I’m sorry to say that Jesse McLean is just the 2025 version of Cristian Crichton or Robert Jennings

Bg average player. Very overhyped
He isn't NRL standard. Fale looked ok out of the backs but Laurie was stand out. How olds Fale?

And the young Fulllback Edgar. What's his story?

I thought they were excellent against Storm but.

Bit harsh. Patea didn’t show much tonight - needs to raise his fitness level.

Their line speed was really good and we got absolutely molested in the ruck every run, so Patea never got the ball with any forward momentum.

Thats why I reckon the criticism of the goat BS is over blown as well - shock me. Kicked off the back foot all game with 4 players in his face each time, unless he suddenly turned into the reincarnation of Burton, he (or any other kicker) was never going to find the sideline 40m downfield.

What an effort by all players.

Bit tough some of the comments on the boys .A lot of them with the better first graders with them lift .Last night was s proud moment as s supporter. We fielded a reserve grade strong team. They played arguably the best defensive team in the comp and held our own.It should be pointed out the are not even at the top of reserve grade
So to stay under 50 was an incredible effort .We move onto next week and the try we scored can be noted down for future attacks

He's really not and their careers will show that
Sometimes I wonder what you’re watching.

Do you honestly think that Jenkins is in the side for a “Feel good Story” or could it be something to do with his form??? His combination with Casey is probably the highlight of our season.

-He’s Defensively better
-He’s better under the high ball
-He’s a great finisher

PA runs harder, that’s about all he has over Jenkins.

Personally, PA would be on my bench, but there is no one in the back line I’d drop him for.

I actually thought the forwards in general held up ok. We lost the field position battle, but that was largely poor carries out of our end from our back 5 and a poor kicking game from our halfback. Defensively we were sound in the ruck, didnt get rolled over. All their points came from the edges with both halves in particular having poor moments defensively.

Agree that Diaz went ok, one error aside. I'd be fine with him being the 6th in line prop ahead of Huth.
