Good defence wins games and so, makes a team more competitive in the NRL Competition. Dean Young is our defensive assistant coach and has had a very poor record in this department over the past 3 seasons. It also coincides with poor results and SOO level when he was assistant coach (defensive).

It seems that Young is never held accountable for his poor performance, and it is about time he is moved on and replaced with a well-known and successful assistant coacch who is in charge of defence.

Our roster has been stacked with some sub-standard players for a few seasons now, and those in charge seem not to give a damn that roster mistakes have been made but not corrected.

Sloan, Flanagan, Lawrie, and Gulet are reserve-grade-level players and should be moved on. CT, Sele, and Liddle are players with opoor injury history and should be let go asap.

In the charit Shield game, neither of our halves took control of the team or game management. To me, we appeared to be very disorganised, a continuation of the problem we had last season.

With the exception of Coates some of those outside backs in the storm must be feeling edgy with all the going’s on with Lomax.
It’s obvious they want him to be going to all this trouble.
Maybe Warbrick becomes a possibility for us ?unless they plan to play Zac at centre.

So were our questions answered about who will play 14 in round 1 ?
We saw LKT come on and play 6 and Kyle moved to dummy half.
LKT and Kyle just looked like making up the numbers, very, average. Finau could of easily done what Kyle did, pick up the ball and throw it.
Unless Flano wasn't happy with how that went, looks like that's what it will be.

i didn't expect kyle's service to feel so slow. looks like that will be the plan and LKT will be 14, but hopefully we won't need to use him and Cook can tough out 1 game for 80min until Liddle returns.

ask lomax he will tell you and anybody else that will listen that he is a Centre

I did say last season that Suli should be moved to an edge forward position and Leilua to the prop rotation.

We do have Eagan and the truck coming through so I would not extend these two players, I'd spend their salary cap on:
A fullback
A Winger
A Centre

We also have problems in the halves where Kyle must be moved on, and Reed promoted/developed.

With Flanagan as coach, I doubt much will change at 9 and 14 while Cook is part of the 17. So, its kyle to reserve grade until his contract ends.

Lomax doesnt want to come back to us. He wanted out for less money. He wants to go to the Storm. Nice kid but goodness he has an ego on him.

And they went out of their way to have their say on the JDB state of affairs and how he should be stood down from the game. We say how that played out

Liddle has just been resigned.
