    Sharks Sign Corey Hughes

Two year deal from next year, squeezed out with them signing Ennis from Brisbane. Clever, tough and experienced. Good buy me thinks. Source: Newcastle Herald

    Chris Bailey signs with Manly.

Sharks need to be certain the dirty Knights don't target Birdy to "return" to Newcastle......would hate to lose him.

    Kearney's fractured fairytale

"The young halfback persevered........" Maybe Ricky should give him a go at 7 with seymour or Birdy at 6, stick Mitch Brown at FB.

    The Cov - Blue Nikes

The mighty Cov' - down on kicking confidence, general play ability, and reduced speed. Injury is not the issue.......its the blue Nike's. Cov, go to the old kit bag and pull out and old pair of poomas. The blue boots are going to ruin your superstardom.

    Sticky to stay. (leader article)

Hope Cov' doesn't lose his speed with this injury!!!

    Bird the next Wally??

Sign him for life. He has been steadily improving for three seasons. (Not another overnight sensation). Passion and drive to succeed make him the next Sharks Captain IMO. Dumb things in the past were over-enthusiasm. Watch out, the stinking dirty Knights will be desperate to get him back.

    Stapleton gone

It seems Sticky's youth poilcy continues. Building with young blokes and only a couple of "old heads" as guide dogs. 2009 is the target......

Knowing the basis of our future team is around quality, young players and that the plan seems to be building a strong squad for seroius tilt at the title in 2009. Reece, Gall, Birdy, Dougy et al withy some very promising youngins at the back. Brown, Pom, Noodles, Mcnichol etc plus Good...

    New title

The Toyota diesels, very powerful, consistant, work all day but no speed, zip or flair.

    RLW Comment - Sharks Defense

Maybe the same sort of thing last year at the beginning of our losing streak, ET's involement finished up about the same time. See Thread on ET Interview.

    Sharks V Warriors

Hit the shoulder and came up. Creagh stayed down. The one on Gal was worse but did'nt sicken him. Gotta love that Gal grin!!

    Sharks V Warriors

Has Gal been charged? How far away are Ross / Thomo? We look a bit thin at Prop. Selmes is not quite up to it (although size may be good against the kiwis

    Top 25 Announced.

I like the look of that photo, plenty of happy, relaxed players. A very different photo to last years team poster.....
