    the simmons thread

Simmons - great game but I still see one simple fault quite regularly that is easy for coach to fix...... Ball security, he runs the ball back at times with it loose or in one hand. One good tackle, loose ball on ground, chasers there - no full back. 6 pts..

    Plays of the day......

Noddys two head slaps, gave penalties for 2 points each when we were under extreme pressure for 6. (Critical plays) Lomu and co. with offloads and subsequent 2nd phase play. Gave our backs opportunities to show their wares. Thumping hits. (Dumas and Co) all day. Love it.

    Daniel Dumas

He hits hard, adds some needed aggression and bends them back. Slows them down well. Always looking to tackle, run hit etc. Outstanding yesterday.

    Daniel Dumas

    A. Johns rated him his pick for up and coming lock in the tele couple of weeks ago. I was very impressed with his effort levels in his first grade games. Hes a keeper, future champ.

    Meet the players BBQ

I reckon so - a lot of clubs have done this as a transition type arrangement. Still allows player to be involved, gives guidance to young dudes, assists coach and also gives ex-player a feel for coaching. (eg Brown, stuart, hasler and Co.0 Should be something for club to look at.
