    Early team vs Tigers

I like to park near Hairyman Brewery and occassionally have a couple of beers there before walking to the ground via the mangrove walk, an extra attraction on game day. I was also a watch all 3 grades guy during my late teens and 20s, before family commitments got in the way. It was good to see...

Team vs the Tigs at Endeavour- Jesus is playing!

Or as Maynard G. Krebs would say, "Hallelujah and Glorioski". Quigs will know who Maynard was. But on late Friday night / Saturday morning , we will be saying he's not the messiah, he's just a naughty boy ?

GAME DAY - The Coffs Comeback Game

All I ask is that they focus on the game right from the kick off and stay focused until the full time siren.

    OT: Dead hard rockers week

RIP Geoff Robinson, the long haired Canterbury prop from the late 70s to 80s. Geez we could use the likes of him in our team at the moment. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/nrl/article-13594261/Geoff-Robinson-Bulldogs-legend-dies-age-66.html

    TLT v Gold Coast

I'm thinking DA to partner tricky in the halves and Nicho gets Family and Community leave. And JC to the bench replacing Tobias. That would be in keeping with Fitzy's minimal disruption policy.

    TLT v Gold Coast

It was coach Artie Beetson who moved Craig Diamond to the wing in 1993, and it was because of our lack of half decent backs, not a tactical move by any means. Thems were hard times.

    GAME DAY vs Canterbury Fleabags.

I also worry about these games against the lesser lights. Also wile the bye might suggest that we're rested, it may also mean a slow start and not getting into gear right away. In the earlier games Canterbury were pretty solid, the points did not come until later in the game.

    OT: Dead hard rockers week

Was that Basement show with Van Dyke Parks BBB ? I remember it being advertised and hearing him interviewed on the Music Show on Radio National. Kicked myself for not going. They don't make Jews like Kinky or Jesus anymore. Though we still have Randy Newman with us.

    Game Day - Origin 2

I'll be watching at the pub, where the noise from the punters will drown out the tv commentators. I like it that way.

Also amongst his many fine performances, he played the stoner English lecturer in National Lampoon's Animal House and with Julie Christie in the arty thriller, Don't Look Now.

    GAME DAY vs Dolph Fins

I am heading south straight after work, stopping at the Hairyman Brewery on the way for reinforcements. I feel we will win a close high scoring game.

    TLT - Donks at Suncorp

I would have thought that the decision would have been Nicho's in consultation with Sharks management. Ultimately they know how well Nicho and his calf are travelling. I imagine him doing well in SOO will boost his confidence no end. But yes, risky business.

Are the Sharks at better team with Dinner Ale running the show.?

My worry is that he might try too hard to impress and make stuff ups. I've seen plenty of that in the past.

    Close

reminds me of watching a Sharkies v Manly game at Shark Park in the mid 80s. A fan sitting near me on the eastern side bench seats was heckling the ref continually, shouting "Get 'em on side, get Close's stomach onside !!". It didn't help us at all, we got flogged 28-4 that day.
