I saw Kinky 20 odd years ago at The Basement.
He was a classic. Funny, satirical, politically challenging and damn fine songwriter.

With his band The Texas Jewboys.

Was that Basement show with Van Dyke Parks BBB ? I remember it being advertised and hearing him interviewed on the Music Show on Radio National. Kicked myself for not going.

They don't make Jews like Kinky or Jesus anymore. Though we still have Randy Newman with us.
