I saw Kinky 20 odd years ago at The Basement.
He was a classic. Funny, satirical, politically challenging and damn fine songwriter.

Was that Basement show with Van Dyke Parks BBB ? I remember it being advertised and hearing him interviewed on the Music Show on Radio National. Kicked myself for not going.

That's hilarious! He's definitely acting there, over acting the gayness but he was like a weight loss guru when he was a household name, cameos on daytime TV. He was just as outrageous though.
