    The Las Vegas Thread

Should’ve clarified…I know they’re a day behind. I meant time of day for game/viewing times. Only 3 hrs offset of Sydney, which is same as Perth, and Auckland is 2 hrs.

Hawaii team would be great. similar Timezone, less travel time, massive Polynesian population, great away game appeal for other teams…that can be the base for a Pacifika team.

    Super League 2023 discussion

agreed, but at least teams can take a more 'long term' approach to the process and build towards promotion by continued success on the field, and ticking boxes off the field! And hopefully a similar ripple-effect for the cellar dwellars in super league...they can build for sustained growth...

    Random International News

this is great. Potentially a great way to get kids into their systems rather than QLD or NSW systems!

    2023 TV/Fox/Streaming Ratings

100%, we need a couple of other countries to challenge Aus, so over time the public perception of ‘no one plays rugby league outside the east coast of Australia’ is changed. Having 4 or 5 countries that can match it at the top is key. then next step would be growing the domestic comps in a few...

    2023 GF | PREMIERS - Penrith 26-24 Brisbane @ Accor

Not sure this has been mentioned…After rewatching highlights, when they made the tackle on Walsh to push him back into the in goal…I was pretty confident that the panthers winger was offside from the kick. Anyone else think so?

    2023 - Oceania Tri-Nations (Pacific Championship)

I dont mind thinks it’s too bad, admittedly their big spine players aren’t in form. If Hughes, brown and manu play their best behind a decent forward pack there’s still hope.

    2023 - Oceania Tri-Nations (Pacific Championship)

I can’t help but think they made these two pacific comps totally confusing in structure to the non-hardcore fans. I’ve had to look at it a couple of times to get my head around it. Seems like they just chucked a bunch of games together with no thought on building a worthwhile product and end...

    The Game 2023 Crowd Watch

Agreed, I’d say the next target should be Sydney teams averaging 20k. Obv not all can due to capacity, but building up derbies to the point that 20k in Sydney is our goal.

    2023 TV/Fox/Streaming Ratings

thanks for this...was about to look at AFL ratings to compare these exact 3 things you did :) Living in enemy territory of Adelaide, I always like seeing how places like Adelaide and Perth fair. Perth's rating were really great, but unsurprising...definitely showing the potential there...

    NRL Expansion: Google Trends data

Doc...fantastic analysis, thank you! I can only hope we have people with passion in these areas working at NRL HQ. A few questions and observations. 1) Is the interest levels localised or Aus wide? Because when I see stats like that suggesting that for those few years GWS were as big in ACT as...

SERBIA vs FRANCE - Sun 24, Sep 2023

one sided, but still a positive step in the right direction. Serbia has done well in being active with games. France has to keep doing the same. They are obviously at the top of our 2nd tier of competitive nations. The drawback being they are NH, so only have access to England who are tier 1...

    2023 TV/Fox/Streaming Ratings

was thinking about this yesterday...obviously compared to the men's comp, 40k viewers is small...but Id love to know how NRLW fares in comparison to the other female comps (AFLW,a-league,super-w and netball), plus against other sports like NBL and super rugby... it seems like it holds its own...

AMNRL is back, USARL limited to South East, new USA Commission

Agreed. The only other thing I can imagine being a factor is if theyve decided Not to pick anyone mainly affiliated with union clubs? Pure speculation, just wondering.

AMNRL is back, USARL limited to South East, new USA Commission

Weird, and Boston and Brooklyn were in the unaffiliated ‘united‘ comp?

    2023 TV/Fox/Streaming Ratings

Prob nothing too surprising there. Carlton has a groundswell of support. Compared to roosters who aren’t one of the big clubs For nrl. However, I do think 50k for melb audience for nrl is pretty decent, considering 20k at the ground,90k next door,500k watching ch 7, and lots of storm fans...

England v Tonga Test Series 2023

all games on BBC is fantastic! such a small thing, but I love they've promoted the womens and wheelchair games on the same poster. All easy to read...chronological order too :) As opposed to the cup/plate thingy they've organised over here in the southern hemisphere where it just seems...

AMNRL is back, USARL limited to South East, new USA Commission

Dead Pelicans defeat Jacksonville 20-16 to win the National Championships. Although there was a few hiccups along the way, it seems like it was the most structured and wide-reaching US season we've had for a while. Well done to all involved...now hopefully the remaining teams rejoin under the...
