    You know just because a player plays juniors for a club, doesn't mean that they have to play NRL for that club right? Why would a North Sydney kid be more likely to go and live in Perth than a kid from Campbelltown or Cronulla or Parramatta? So the Dolphins don't get a share of the grant then...

    Bringing back the Bears is not expansion. Anyone who supports forcing another location to take a North Sydney club is the one that hates the idea of expansion.

    How does forcing them into a relationship with the Bears, a team that won f**k all while it existed, help keep it out of the bottom 4? How does taking $20m off them to give to other clubs help them financially? There is nothing smart about either of those 2 things.

    You and gobsmacked have been saying for months that NZ2 was guaranteed because there were 3 bids, and ignored any comment suggesting that the bids shouldn't be accepted if they are shit.

    Why would a kid who grows up in North Sydney, be more likely to play NRL because there is a team in Perth? If they want to play, they'll go to one of the 9 teams down the road, not fly to the other side of the country.

    They say they don't want privately owned bids, it must be funded by govts, and then refuse to meet with one of the govt groups that could provide funding.
