    Not disrespectful. In hindsight an error but not warranting this reaction. The bid has committed over $400 mill, a negotiation would be the appropriate response. 'We need this amount to accept the bid'

    July was it? I must have got that wrong, but what's a substantial amount? Just tell them they needed $50 mill from the beginning. Blame on both sides I reckon.

    The clubs won't like it if it's gone from getting a bigger grant to allow for expansion to the ARLC paying to run an expansion team. That's gotta be plan Z

    Apparently they were told a 'substantial amount' 2 weeks before the bid was due. I think when they were told they needed $30mill to get a license they should have been told they needed $20 mill for a license fee aswell. Right from the beginning. I think it will get sorted.

    I'm a bit both sides. They should have offered something in the bid but the ARLC should have told them that a $20 mill license was required. It's a big step up when they were told they needed $30mill to get a look in.

    Heard a snippet from Cook today. Sounded like he was still working with the bid team to fix the issues. Reiterated that it wasn't the govts bid , they were supporting it though. They won't buy into ownership but I think they will get the money to the bid for the license.

    There will need to be a compromise. Neither the WA Govt or the NRL want to own it. Otherwise it's completely dead.
