    18th club, whose next?

Western suburbs and Western Reds existed in the same comp. This won't be an issue.

Yet you abandoned your foundation club! Can't mean much to you

Brisbane3 - What is needed to make it a successful bid?

I think PNG will be a spectacular failure but the AUS govt won't ever drop the funding. Moving wests tigers isn't a bad idea. They are owned by a leagues club which isn't adjacent to their ground so an offer to buy the license might be accepted.

The first game in Perth will need to be at optus. Unless the NRL have it at 6pm on a Thursday night.

Hopefully there is a strong bid from NZ. Like Perth, it's an obvious choice for one of the next franchises. Have they had enough time to put one together?

This is the most likely scenario. Bids arnt in yet so the NRL can't announce anything yet. They gotta act like it wasn't their idea.

Yeah, the first game will be a good crowd regardless. I'm just thinking about the following years. I think if it's a different team every year then the crowds will diminish.

Crowd size, creating an event. It will be an away game for Perth no matter who they play.

Yeah, first year you guys might be right. Allianz v Easts would sell out. They might try and make it an event game, play it on the same day every year.

I think Central Coast. Allianz maybe too big?

Good on ya for getting the bears back.. In still wary about split boards but hopefully everyone involved is on the same page.

Definitely a flegg team is needed for next year. It will need some dollars put in recruitment.
