2nd Test: New Zealand v Australia @ Hagley Oval Christchurch Mar 8-12, 2024

Head will score 150 or throw his wicket away.

Smith is reminiscent of Ponting at the end of his career.

2nd Test: New Zealand v Australia @ Hagley Oval Christchurch Mar 8-12, 2024

You probably should chase 278 on this pitch, I just don't know who gets the runs. Our top order is extremely scratchy and the middle order continues to gift their wickets away. We'll probably leave it to the bowlers as usual.

2nd Test: New Zealand v Australia @ Hagley Oval Christchurch Mar 8-12, 2024

Running between the wickets with Kuggeleijn must be tough. Does he call "no" when he actually wants to run a single?

2nd Test: New Zealand v Australia @ Hagley Oval Christchurch Mar 8-12, 2024

I wouldn't be confident chasing much more than 200 given our entire batting order seems out of form. NZ have plenty of work to do to get to that sort of lead, but one good partnership could see them in the driver's seat. If it does end 1-1 result here would mean only one series win in our last...

5th Test: India v England @ Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala Mar 8-12, 2024

He has been super impressive. I've enjoyed watching him this series because I feel like I am going to hate watching him play against us the next decade or so.

5th Test: India v England @ Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala Mar 8-12, 2024

Kapil Dev, Boucher, Vettori and Flintoff all averaged between 30 and 32, so I think ol Zakky boy might be fighting for 5th at best.

    Ian Chappell Appreciation thread

Rumour has it Ian's second century comprised solely of perfectly executed hook shots.

    Rest of NRL

Watching the Vegas game, sadly, I could see all four teams (even below their best) comfortably beating the Tigers.

    Season 2024

The irony of Anasta talking about Brooks playing much better with an experienced half beside him despite us hiring him to play that role 10 years ago. He was one of our worst players in our history, and that's saying something, and he has played the boot into us ever since.

    1st Test: New Zealand v Australia @ Basin Reserve Wellington Feb 29 - Mar 4, 2024

Maybe when there is not 3+ days left in a test. We are miles ahead of the game whether they enforced it or not. Such a non issue.

Reckon some on here think you get a bonus point for enforcing the follow on or something.

Why does Ajaz never get a game for NZ? Missed a big trick not picking a spinner.

This is a bit of a thing The Grade Cricketer podcast has going. They were running a promo for it. It's essentially a pisstake on the Pommy sports fans putting their soccer team on the English flag, and also pisstaking AFL fans wearing their singlets overseas.

Awesome knock from Green. Always been a gun against Shield bowlers and he has proved it again today.

4th Test: India v England @ Jharkhand State Cricket Association Stadium Ranchi Feb 23-27, 2024

Not to mention they have been given much better pitches than we have the last two Indian tours. A number of key Indian players missing too.

I'm probably overstating it as a sitter. Hit hard above his head at midwicket. But he was very slow to react and didn't get a hand on it.
